  1. No problemo! (this phrase cracks me up) I hope the dual enrollment program in Texas is kinda like the one in Florida (free tuition and books for highschoolers) :uhoh:
  2. Or after college, like I am going to do  Ok, seriously, get calculus or any math, as well as Freshman English out of the way before university. I know a bunch of people who did this through AP, IB, or dual enrollment at the community college, and it helped them get ahead in their major, or double major, or study abroad, or do undergraduate research. I don't understant why there's a 12th grade. Most countries have until 11th grade, and then you start college at 17. The first friend I made in high school when I moved here skipped HS senior year to start at the uni. Yes, she still graduated this December, but she studied in Australia for a semester, did research, and now she will start her PhD in molecular biology in August. In short, get ahead is a good idea
  3. Brenda, if your school is a joke, keep taking dual enrolllment courses at the community colleges. I actually think it's better than AP classes because you can see how college grading works, and you get your credits as long as you get a C in the class. It's not a big test at the end of the year deciding your fate.
  4. Yes, it does look good, it means you're challenging yourself. Another good reason to take calculus. well, my sister started in sophomore year when we moved, and she was placed in Geometry. Since she found it kinda boring, she took Algebra II Honors in junior year, and then pre-calc in senior year. Then she took pre-calc again in college, followed by Calc I, and then Calc II And I never heard her complaining about her math classes :stunned: Oh, but she does hate college physics :dozey: Lauren, sometimes it depends on your teachers and how good they are in explaining stuff.
  5. Yeah, I'll be waiting for Oxfam about volunteering for them at Coldplay concert in West Palm Beach. If they accept me, I'm gonna have to fly to West Palm if I cannot find someone here from Orlando or Tampa to give me a ride. But that's a big IF. You're taking calculus in the summer? :stunned: Back in my country, the math was up to pre-calc, and then the math in high school here seemed redundant. Oh, and College algebra in my first semester in college was super easy. I should have taken pre-calc and Calc I because the graduate programs I'm looking at recommend it for the Economic-based classes in their programs. So, yes, I'm going to have to take Calculus, probably after I graduate. I'll take it at the community college, cuz it's cheaper and the Math Dept at my university is hard as heck.
  6. "Sin Miedo a Nada" is the one he sings with Amaia Montero (who is not on La Oreja de Van Gogh anymore. Sad, I know), which I have heard 329874923 times :P [i have his 3 CDs, I gonna buy the new one soon] Oh, the one you're asking about is "Aunque no te pueda ver" I LOVE that song. Ok, I love all of his songs. Nah, I LOVE him and his songs It's so sad that he's coming to Miami next week to promote his new CD, and the record company is looking for fans for a "meet-and-greet" AND I CANNOT GO CUZ I HAVE A TEST ON TUESDAY!!! :bigcry: Otherwise, I would have flown to Miami, for sure (my mom would have thought I was crazy, but that wouldn't have stopped me )
  7. ^I thought he had actually hit a lady, or some funny title to get us into reading something really lame that has noting to do with hitting an old lady. Good thing none of the two was the case.
  8. Hey Brenda! I was just writing to another Coldplayer who said she was interested in listening to Alex Ubago, who is my favorite singer in Spanish. Oh, and he's hot too! :wideeyed:
  9. Oh, you can listen to Alex Ubago's new CD (the 4th one) on his website: http://www.alexubago.com/home.asp WARNING: pic of this hot Spaniard for the new CD will pop up
  10. thanks Briggs for those tips on getting tickets!
  11. Hi everyone! I've studying most of the day, but I went out to the supermarket, bought a pizza, ate it. But none of this matters because I heard "Life in Technicolor ii" on my car's radio  NEVER heard it on the radio before, and the radio host mentioned the concert in my city after the song was over (which I am going to, as you can see on my siggy) :D
  12. ^Maybe she's talking about TicketsNow, the scalper site owned by Ticketmaster. Anyway... I heard "Life in Technicolor ii" on the 97X radio station, who is sponsor for this concert. The radio host mentioned the concert after the song
  13. Yeah, Meghan Fox, guys find her sexy, even if she looks fake and icky
  14. You'll never catch up Zoe. I missed a day, and +20 pages! Man on man kissing for girls is not as attractive as woman on woman kissing for guys.
  15. ^Speaking of Spanish guys, this is my favorite Spanish singer, Alex Ubago! Yeah, I know, he looks like Ross from "Friends" But I don't care...!Me encanta!
  16. ^John, that's because there are more girls than guys on the forum, I think. I don't have stats to prove it.
  17. I like to study listening to classical music. I hear most of it through my university's radio station, which is part of public broadcasting.
  18. I must say Saffire has very good taste in guys, from the pics he posts on "The sexy men" thread ;)
  19. @Erick: You like both boys and girls, right? You made a comment earlier about marrying Edward and Bella, that's why I ask.
  20. I'll listen to the Artic Monkeys whenever I have the chance then. Yeah, I started to listen to Muse this week. I opened an account in Pandora (online radio)
  21. Hey AriesLady, we could meet up. I was planning on going by myself too since my siblings nor my friends are into U2. I need a partner in crime to get GA Pit tickets, and stand in line for hours :D If not Muse, I really hope for Snow Patrol. I would die!:dead: Franz Ferdinand opened in Chile!? Nice!
