    Hi :)
  2. Playing in a little first aid shack at a ski resort. It cheered me up even though I knew I had broken my thumb :p
  3. plane laptop or desktop
  4. I am...20. Nearly 21.
  5. I think I can challenge you to that :p I'm a huge fan of glee! Seeing the live tour in a few months actually :)
  6. Saw Sufjan tonight at Massey Hall. Twas wonderful :D
  7. Anyone want to explain to me how transit in London works?:P I'm there for 3 days, what's my best option? Is the tube, trams, busses, and DLR connected or do I need to pay seperate fares? How do transfers work (time, direction) How does backtracking work (i.e. I go one direction then want to head in the opposite direction)? It's so confusing trying to figure it out:stunned: Also, if anyone wants to give me transit tips on any other places I'm visiting please feel free. :D Oh, I'm also going to see the Lion King when I'm in London. So excited!
  8. Fifi! Amsterdam was the only place we actually booked a hotel instead of a hostel because it turned out to be cheaper! :P I heard about the flying pig from another friend, but they look all booked up! We're staying at Eden Lancaster Hotel in Amsterdam, it looks pretty decent. Been really busy buying a bunch of stuff. I'm spending so much money just in preperation for my trip!
  9. Yeah, we decided to stay longer in Barcelona. :) Most people I spoke with seemed to lean towards it. I'd love that! :D We're in the process of booking hostels. I'm so glad all the flights are finally booked. It makes everything seem so much more real!
  10. It's pretty exciting planning it! We're still looking for the top attractions to see while we're visiting places. You guys are from all over, spread some ideas! I'm in a debate if I should spend more time in Amsterdam or Barcelona.
  11. So we had to make some changes. Here's the new layout Tel Aviv to Berlin Jul 16th- Mon Jul 19th BERLIN 3 days, 3 nights (16th-18th) Berlin to Venice Jul 19th- Jul 20th VENICE 1.5 days, 1 night (19th) Venice to Paris Jul 20th - July 23rd PARIS 3.5 days, 4 nights (20th-23rd) Paris to London Jul 24th - Jul 27th LONDON 3.5 days, 3 nights (24th-26th) London to Amsterdam Tues Jul 27th - Jul 28th AMSTERDAM 2 days, 2 nights (27th-28th) Amsterdam to Barcelona Jul 29th-Aug 1st BARCELONA2.5 days , 2 nights (29th-30th) Barcelona to Rome Aug 1st - Aug 4th ROME 3.5 days, 3 nights Rome to Tel Aviv Tel Aviv to Canada! Whoooo this took a long time to work out. We're checking out hostels/places to stay and really need some help with it! I'm also a bit stuck....opinions, would you rather stay in Amsterdam or Barcelona longer?
  12. Is that the international student card? I got one from my university during the year :) Definately handy to have to get student and youth discounts. Not stupid, I don't think anyone mentioned it. We have a day/night breakdown planned out we want to start booking our flights soon. The only problem is there was an issue with my sister getting her extension and now she might need to pay $260 instead of $140 to try and get on the same flight as me. :( apparently its all booked up so I don't know...
  13. I'm thinking of staying in the YHA London Central hostel in London in a private room. Berlin Hostel will probably be Pfefferbett Hostel in a 6 person female dorm. Venice Hostel seems to be between L' Imbarcadero (5 person female dorm) Albergo San Samuele hotel with a private room. Thoughts/information?
  14. hahahahaha. Sun lolly. Gotcha. :p I'm in Amsterdam July 27th and 28th :)
  15. Thanks so much! I'll definately look into it and will probably end up taking it. :) And ideas for places to go, things to see?
  16. Hey just want to give you guys a bit of an update on my trip and maybe get some advice. We're going to be flying everywhere I believe and this is what we have so far. Nothing is officially booked yet. Tel Aviv to Berlin Berlin Venice Venice to Rome Rome to Barcelona Barcelona to Amsterdam Amsterdam to Paris Paris to London London to Tel Aviv The trip is running from July 15th (although the flight we plan on catching to Berlin is 1am on the 16th) until August 3rd. We fly out of Tel Aviv to Canada 1am August 4th. Thing is, finding decently priced flights to and from Tel Aviv is pretty challenging. On easyjet.com I can fly from London Luton to Tel Aviv. Does anyone know how far Luton is from downtown London and a good way to get there? Airport taxis/public transit ideas? Maybe from someone who knows the area? I'd appreciate all the help I can get :)
  17. You type 500 characters per minute You have 87 correct words and you have 4 wrong words I want to try and get more correct :p EDIT! You type 511 characters per minute You have 92 correct words and you have 4 wrong words
  18. Soo does anyone know of any good hostels in any of the areas that I'm visiting? Nice places to visit while I'm there? :)
  19. why do you think that would be the best option?
  20. Ahh thanks for all the input! Barcelona has been added, we're trying to figure out days to spend. I had a talk with my manager, after Israel our trip will be a bit under 2 weeks....unless I quit my job and attempt to be rehired, which isn't totally out of the question. Then I could expand it to 3 weeks and not be on a time schedule. Especially since I'm looking at where I want to go and how much more I would like to add. Is a once in a lifetime trip worth my job? Although I do have a second job. And I need to see how far 6 grand will take me. Anyone want to give me a good breakdown between these cities? So. I have about $6000. Maybe add an extra $1000 if my grandparents decide to be really nice to me, which i'm hoping for. I am travelling with my sister. Cities of intrest: Italy: Rome, Venice, Florence Switzerland: Bern France: Paris, Monaco Spain: Barcelona England: London Germany: Berlin Amsterdam and Sweden are also potentials along with another few cities. My brother has friends in Sweden who could may be able to host us for a night or two as well. Greece was originally on my list but I have a good friend who is greek who strongly recommends NOT going there at the moment because of the riots and everything else that is happening. I'm trying to think budgeting. How far do you think my canadian money can take me in europe PLUS my 10 days in Israel? Although my flight from Canada to Israel is free, along with my stay and some food. Mostly food on the go, shopping and going out are what will cost me money. Also, I will be flying back to Israel from a country so I can get a free flight back to Canada. Anyone know where would be the best country/city to fly to from Israel to start, and the best country to fly from to Israel to end?
  21. Definately a good start! :) How is Saas Fee in the summer?
  22. Who wants to help me plan a trip? Places to visit, ways to travel, things to see. Ideas ideas ideas! I'm going to Israel from July 4th-15th on a group trip, then will probably stay a few days. Then off to Europe! Ideally, trip will be finished close to the end of July/beginning of August. I'm travelling with my sister, and we want to hit up Italy, Swizterland, France, England and other areas. And if anyone is interested in hosting me and my twin sister while we're over or showing us around the cities we visit let me know! :) Right now we just are thinking of big cities but are researching other areas to go. Any hostels/hotel information in the area or cool sites I'd be very interested to hear about. Citywise this is what we have so far: Italy - Florence, Rome (maybe), Venice and Pisa France - Paris England - London Switzerland - Bern Germany - Berlin Other countries and cities? Lets make this happen:cool:
  23. I can swim. And I do assume that everyone can swim, which is why it's a shock when I find out someone CAN'T swim!
