It's cute, isn't it? :D I thought of designing a shirt with that 'slogan' but aren't sure by now.

Here they are, but they aren't good: The Hunger & The Thirst (Cubicles, 'Where's the hunger, where's the thirst - anymore') We'll do anything you ask (Chocolate, 'I'll do anything you ask this time') Lost our lives through your songs (Disaster Button, 'We'll lose our lives through all our favourite songs') Silence Of The Turning Earth (Engines, 'You say you love me like the silence of the turning earth') A Distant Echo (The Lightning Strike, 'What if this stom ends and leaves us nothing except the memory, a distant echo') Some non-lyrical ones: First Snow Snow White (Queens ) Polar Teddies (because of Polar Bears :D)

You make me blush. So, then let's do a brainstorm. :nice: Or should I / Ilione post the suggestions I made? They weren't that breathtaking anyway. But some ideas and at least something. Not that you need to call your group 'The Nameless' in the end. :D

You're very, very welcome. You know how much I wished I could join you. And don't call it 'expert advice' because it's not. :P Certainly not. So you didn't like my suggestios? Hm, well, let's think ...

:stunned: Okay, this sounds not that great anymore. Do you think this counts for the whole group? I guess they still have some problems with the app so that there might be some bugs. :rolleyes4:

The tour is called The Reworked Tour. :) Really? Stupid Wikipedia. BECAUSE: Gary is to be seen with the motorbike first and he indeed throws it away, but not into the water but into the grass. Kind of a difference, hm? :D And it appears later on again and someone (Nathan in my opinion) drives around with it. Pretty unrealistic after it was thrown into the water, isn't it? But as I said, I'm not sure about who it is, but it's not Gary in my opinion. And I'm almost sure about that.

1) My first thought was: Nathan! I was almost certain about that but I checked back and watched the video. It's not that clear in my opinion. The member is wearing a hoodie and if you're really precise on that throwing thing, there's no one throwing the motorbike in the water anyway. It falls. But the last one riding it could be either Nathan or Mark. Why Mark? Because I thought I could tell it's Nathan from the legs (don't ask me why I think I know them ), but I felt like I saw Nathan in the background behind the rider and the bike. But I still go for Nathan. :D 2) Clearly Gary. I read his column every week - or whenever he decides to write anything - and it's definetely just him.

It is, about which city should he write telling it's his favourite one? He said it in several interviews and and at gigs. Quote (from my head, not really precise :D): "It's dedicated to Nathan's and my hometown, Belfast." Which aren't you sure about, Imke? Maybe we can help as a team? (Although I'm not in anymore :P)

And that should be 'though' ones? ;) Oh, please ... Thanks for posting them, Imke! :)

Can't you put the photos you want on your camera then?

Maaan, I wonder what on that second DVD of the special fan version is. By the way, I just turned BBC Radio 1 on as I was reading here and they mentioned that Snow Patrol would take part in a festival or something soon and that tickets can be won (I stay away from any competitions for a while :dozey:) and so on. And that it will be on TV as well. But I missed the name - does anybody know what they were talking about?

***The official "Editors" thread***
Poor Bernard. This is acutally the first time I can say I'm glad to live in Germany instead of the UK / Ireland. But I'll try to take some good photos (if my camera doesn't decide to die just before the gig like last time :dozey:).

Of course he does - don't people from Houston or where you're from? ;) Doesn't make him not going there after all. :P

Anybody who says he/she doesn't know enough to take part: that's wrong! Everyone being able to join should join! At least for Bernard and me. :) Be asured, I'm taking 'passive' part in the competition because I won't let Ilione let win this without me even knowing the questions! :P It's pretty sad that we can't get in there but anyhow, we can't, those are the rules. :\

Guys, we have a serious problem. :\ Bernard and me are not allowed to take part in the competition. I just read the terms and conditions and you have to be over 18 to be allowed to take part in the quiz. We're not. So that's it then for us. We're out. :(

Beethoven or Mozart
Beethoven. Mozart was a genius but so was Beethoven. I always loved Beethoven for the power in his music and the huge differences he put in almost every single piece. He started a revolution in classical music and he wasn't really taken seriously then with the new things he came up with. Sure, Mozart died way too early but Beethoven lost his hearing and what worse could happen to a musician / composer? I guess both would have prefered death over deafness. Some people maybe thought he was insane because he kept saying he was a gift of God but if there's a God, definetely both men were gifts from him. I love Beethoven and don't really like Mozart so much.

He absolutely loves Houston, so I don't think it's so much about the weather. ;) Or the climate in that case.

Never say never. ;) (Uh, totally wrong band though ... :uhoh:) You don't know what'll happen, maybe sometime they'll see that the fans are incredible where you live as well. :nice: They'll come, I'm sure.

Got it and added you :) Has anybody seen Gary's new blog on snowpatrol.com? If not ... : BOOK 'EM DANNO Posted by garyL. Portland, Oregon. It’s nearly ten at night. Been out walking all day since eleven and divided my walking with a movie in the middle. The Informant since you ask. Matt Damon’s new one and it is very good. He’ll get an Oscar nomination mark my words. Couldn’t be further from Jason Bourne if it was shot out of a cannon. To tell you anything about it would be to tell you everything so I’ll just say it’s worth seeing asap. Portland is one of my favourite places in America. In fact this west coast bit of the tour is my favourite stretch of gigs and I’m very glad we’re finishing up on the west coast this time. Portland tomorrow, then Seattle, San Franciso/Oakland, San Diego and lastly LA which I have grown a brand new love for recently since Garret (Jacknife Lee) moved to Malibu and I’ve been spending lots more time there. Never used to like LA but have seen bits of it I never knew existed (nice bits, dark, dingy bits, dangerous bits) and like it fine now. Still undecided about some of the people but that’s an irrational fear of celebrity that I don’t mind not ever dealing with. So I walked Portland today. All of it. A beautiful, cold, clean day it was too. I got that Christmas feeling again but I’ll not dwell on it. I think when the air’s cold enough to slightly burn my nose is when I start to get homesick. We have too much fun to stay homesick for long but sometimes there is a little pang but it leaves as quickly as it arrives. So, news of both Tired Pony and Listen…Tanks! Both will be completed by the end of January. I’ve made similar claims before but this time the studios have been booked. For Tired Pony I am coming back to Portland to make it in the early new-year. I hope it’s all snowy here then. In the band so far are Garret Lee, Richard Colburn, Iain Archer, Miriam Kaufmann and myself. There are two others but I’m not going to say who they are just yet as I’m too excited about them and they are very busy people so they could be whisked away for one reason or another so I’ll bite my happy tongue for now. Once we get into the studio and to work I’ll reveal all. Sorry to tease. As for Listen…Tanks! well that was always gonna be just me and Garret. It’s taken a mad turn recently (Garret and I have some more of it recorded) and it was mad to begin with so god only knows how that’ll turn out. The direction of Tired Pony has been mooted as being country. Let’s just say it’s country-tinged so there is no disappointment or confusion when it comes out and doesn’t sound like Waylon Jennings or Gram Parsons. The new Qonline piece I just finished writing is about El Perro Del Mar and should be up by lunchtime tomorrow on the site. I spent the second half of my long walk listening to her sweet and dangerous voice. You can be sweet and dangerous right? It’s a heady mix alright. All the more dangerous for being sweet first I think. Portland has so many good bookshops but my favourite is Powell’s. Probably my favourite bookshop in the world. I could spend the day in there. A life in there for that matter. Again I go straight for the C’s and to find Bryan Charles’ stunning debut Grab Onto Me Tightly As If I Know The Way as it’s my favourite book of all time and I found two more copies today. Anybody that I love gets a copy of it. Think I’m up around (cough) god knows how many copies by now but no one I’ve given it to has ever scoffed at it. If you missed my first gush about this novel a while back then heed me now. Go to Amazon and treat yourself. If you like music and you’ve been through puberty then you’ll marry every word of it. I bought a bunch of other books too including the second from Glen David Gold (he of Carter Beats The Devil which was awesome) Sunnyside. The reviews of which have been close to euphorically rabid. That’s where I’ll start and I’ll let you know. But then what the fuck do I know anyway? I’m gonna do my best to post every week at least for a while but, as ever, I’m not typing if I’ve nothing to tell you. Be well and swell and not in hell.g.xx http://www.snowpatrol.com/blog/ I love how he writes. And I can picture him walking around in Portland, spending the morning walking only, watching a movie and then spending the whole evening in a books store. :D (This is basiclly what I do on my free days, so I can't blame him ;))
