man, i'm pissed.

garbage, nothing in presale and no chance i'm paying to not be in the front, it's not worth going if you're not. fucking pissed.

explicit language ahead: FUCK THIS SHIT! tried presale, was on hitting refresh every 2 seconds from 9:55 on. 10:00 rolls around and i get on and it took me until 10:03 to get through to about 80 rows back. error, error, error. FUCK YOU FUCKERS! as much as i love coldplay, i'm tempted to not see them live. this is bullshit and a ripoff. i want front section tickets and it's impossible to get them. it's not fair. i'm goddamn fucking pissed.

anyone done a presale on ticketmaster? i used livenation, but not ticketmaster. how does it work?

i have 4 sets of tickets to charlotte. i just bought and tried again. i know they'll sell, so who cares. i might sell them all if i can get better seats for atlanta. or go to both. that's ideal.

X&Y is a brilliant album. Any album with Fix You and Swallowed In The Sea is brilliant. I can listed to those songs 5 times a day (and I do) and cry every time. I'm a 30 year old straight guy, music lover, and yes damnit, I cry every time. They are just unreal songs. White Shadows ranks up there close to me as well.

i'm sorry to hear that. i now have 4 sets of tickets because better ones kepy opening up, figure i can just sell 3 of them. still, nothing better than 2nd section back, probably 100 feet from stage at least, it sucks.

i bought 4 sets of tickets trying to get up front, won't have any problem selling them. i was so disappointed with my seats in atlanta in november that i swore i'd pay whatever it takes to get front and center next time, i'm going to do it damnit! i actually tried bribing people in atlanta to swap seats with me and offered them $100 cash as an exchange. stupid me, should have offered much more. would have been worth it. but to go back 20 rows for $100 in this economy.... LOL. i was too cheap. no takers.

just let me know where you'll be and i'll come find you to say hi from my front row seats that i will have paid $1000 each for! LOL.

great points. in cambodia, kids were trying to sell shirts for .50. insane. my wife would just give them money and let them keep the shirt, it's really sad. we visited orphanages and donated food, etc. the reason i brought up people hounding is because my mom just visited and had people steal her money right out of her hand, take her camera to take a picture then not give it back until she gave them $20 and stuff like that. of course she was unloading off of a tour bus, i'm sure that's a big no no... my father was middle eastern (passed away 6 months ago), so i've got arabic blood running through me. i guess it's pretty safe to go there now too? i was also told by my mom that they were slaughtering animals in the streets and my it bothered her to see and she's not even vegetarian. my wife and i are vegan (yeah chris martin!). i worry about how hard it would be to eat and witness that stuff. thoughts? thanks again!

i've heard egypt is full of scammers and is a tourist trap these days. i've been wanting to go there, but might end up in jail if i get hounded by people all day trying to scam me, i'll knock someone out. i just spent 2 weeks in thailand and cambodia a year ago, by far the best trip i have ever been on. will be in south africa for the world cup in 2010. can't decide what to do this year....

guys, these are the responses i was looking for. thank you! a lot of people would say, "if you don't like it, don't go" or crap like that. i understand more now. i do totally agree that their energy is what the live show is about. but, when i'm downloading live shows for my iPod, what's the need for more than one? they all SOUND the same without being there. plus, i really feel you need to be right up front to truly get the experience of their shows. the one aired on directv from toronto 2006 just gives me chills, i still have it on my dvr and watch it weekly. so, when i went to atlanta and was on the floor, but 40 rows back, having to peer in between people to see the stage (and i'm 6'1"), it wasn't my best experience. i tried very hard to get front row this time around and damnit, i'm getting them. $1000 a ticket is worth it to me and (well, maybe not) i want to be there right up front! :) i like the stadium seating in the outdoor venues though, easier to see. anyway, thanks again and i see now. i will not be looking at any setlists within 3 months of the charlotte show, as much as it will kill me. i just hope it's not exactly the same as the tour in 08. plus, if they could bring back swallowed in the sea, oh my. that song is truly brilliant, maybe i'm a minority, but if i had to choose one song to see live, it would be that (talk is a close second). i'm a big x&y fan by the way, i've seen a lot of coldplay fans who disagree. i think it was their best album. just a personal preference though. later!

so the truth comes out, presale gets you decent seats if you're early, normal gets you a little worse seats, where the flipping hell are the front sections? all the brokers have them on their sites for sale already. how? wouldn't coldplay want their die hard fans up front on the shows? dave matthews band has the warehouse where i used to (quit listening a few years ago) get front row seats as a member. i don't get it.

this thing is far from selling out, there are still 8 sets together in section 8 in row u. am i going to get stuck with 4 sets of tickets? i would think it would sell out, right?

no presale sucked. but it was better seats than today. i just kept buying hoping i could get closer. no luck.
