  1. It might give me the cynical edge needed for success in the academic world. Or I could become a little mopey. Or I'll end up singing along instead of studying :/
  2. So glad I caught this near the beginning! I'm really excited for the rest of the week to unfold; Radiohead might be the best or worst band for studying for midterms.
  3. Aw, I want to hear it too. I'll have to be patient :) But another Reindeer Section album would be fantastic, or something with The Cake Sale. I'm a little sad, but a little excited. I'll eagerly await their comeback.
  4. Vampire Weekend. It's been getting really sunny lately and it just seems like a great soundtrack for hanging out outside :)
  5. I'm getting there pretty early (probably before noon) and hanging out (with my mom, I'm so cool!) until the concert starts.
  6. But they were so enthusiastic about it. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2PpTuh9RvE]YouTube - wonderwall[/ame] "It's always good to make fun of Oasis."
  7. Oasis :laugh3:
  8. Blasphemy! You must leave the fanclub. (Congrats on expanding your collection, though :))
  9. Just bought their album from the bookstore because last.fm told me too :P I really like it, though I'm not sure which tracks are my favorite yet.
  10. It's a popularity contest, with some really talented people sneaking into the top. Let's be popular!
  11. He's really impressive as an all around musician, and I think he stands out for always improving; he only really picked up the drums when he joined Coldplay. I think he deserves a higher rating, at least. A lot of people on that list do :S
  12. Honestly, I didn't think it was that bad. Though I'm not a fan of her music, she has a pretty strong voice. It was different and fun, which is nice. I don't think I've heard a Coldplay cover from a major artist that I actually liked :/ (Except Natasha Bedingfield's take on The Scientist. The Live Lounge version was alright, but I saw some concert footage and thought it was lovely!) And I think covers are really cool when they're in a totally different genre (like Snow Patrol covering Beyonce ).
  13. What's worse, from what I've gathered, is that a lot of people don't realize that there is something to remember. The info and evidence are hidden. Which tends to happen to all important events, regardless of the location, it seems. They end up warped and/or forgotten.
  14. It's the devil's way now :P
  15. A few people on campus had an Ironic Screening of Twilight. The credits are still probably the best scene.
  16. http://www.extlabs.com/yourinfamousharp/ A great glitch-hop band comprised of two lovely people. I'd never really listened to anything in the genre, but it was probably the best discovery I made last year. The album streams for free on the site, and you can buy the it at whatever price you want. They've a new album, Escapes from the Cage, available here: http://extlabs.com/thecage You have to play the game to unlock the tracks, but it's also available to listen to on last.fm. It's a bit different from the previous album, but I like it as well. They also host Canopy Radio (http://extlabs.com/canopy/) which is pretty much a social music project. And then they're working on Geo-Duck (http://extlabs.com/geoduck/), a game that generates music depending on how you play :D [/fangirl]
  17. Maybe their scorecard was upside-down.
  18. Pitchfork is bizarre sometimes.
  19. This. I found out about them thanks to you :D
  20. It's weird; I can't really pin ages on any of them. It's like they have the sort of musical experience and insight you get from being really old, but the novelty of a brand new band. Phoenixes, I say.
  21. No javascript errors, no weird pageloads, lots of fun blog posts, and (of course) The Oracle! It's a really nice website. And Coldplaying goes so well with it :)!
  22. This is going to be the best first Coldplay concert ever, with all these Coldplayingers.
  23. Or that one-off experimentally uplifting album.
