i already did explain, its meaningless because you can apply it to any argument or any dispute. e.g "I think that is really is wrong" "just because you think it is..." Yeh your last line sums up exactly how i feel. I like the songs off VLV but the LIJ acoustic was the best for me, not over produced but instead real and raw.

Yeh I think Chris's vocals are less emotional, give or take the odd song. He focuses more on singing loudly, such as the chorus of Lovers in Japan, he really shouts the lyrics. Also there are alot of sing along parts like the wooo ooo woooos in viva and LIT2. So to me it just feels like this huge shift away from emotional songs and i miss songs like amsterdam etc.

Im wondering if glee is seen differently throughout the world because in the UK its mainly seen as cheap (camp rock etc) but I hope you are right and it is taken as something fun. AROBTTH is my fav because the songs are so deep and emotional, something i feel VLV is lacking. I think that was a deliberate attempt to rid the band of its soppy label and i recall Chris saying in an interview he wanted to make coldplay cool. I agree also that coldplay need to change with each album but i still think they should remain faithful to their emotional songwriting skills.

agreed. I would be happier if it was just coldplay working on the album, get rid of marcus dravs, Eno and all the others, It should be just the four of them.

I think of camp rock as on par with glee? yeh i think its a good idea to keep themselves known and not do a radiohead and disappear into obsurity but soon they will have a new album out. I really think its a bad career move.

Yes sometimes I wish they would just go back to basics, I dont think they need to contrive new directions, although sometimes it can be good. Ill lay my cards on the table, Im not a fan of Brian Eno, I feel like he's changing coldplay for the worse and convincing them their old music is bad. (thats probably way off from the reality but its how things come across to me).

Yeh I thought you would say that and yes thats a fair point really but surely you can see that this type of show can cheapen coldplay's fame and well earned respect? Lets imagine if they began appearing all over the TV, in commercials, day time television etc.. then that would create a dramatic change in public perception? I just think it lessens coldplay, I prefer it when coldplay stick to making music and not appearing on Glee, what next, the disney channel, then things like camp rock etc! Is that any clearer?

Its just a lively discussion, nothing more. I dont think coldplay should appear on Glee, Lore does. No bad feelings on my part
