I like them both. I don't see it as "old" vs. "new." I just see it as their style is evolving......like most bands' style does over the years.

Well, the books are quick, indulgent reads. They're okay, but I think if you've seen the series, it might be a bit of a letdown. I'm glad I read the books first.

Actually, I think it's okay if you haven't read the books, because at this point, the books are almost completely different than the show. For instance........regarding Lafeyette.... EDIT: Egh...I don't know how to make those nifty "spoiler" tags. So, oh well... There are characters in the book that aren't in the tv show. Like, Amy from Season 1....she's not in the book. Tara is in the book, but her role is diminished until the very end, and she's not black. The new fledgling vampire Bill creates doesn't exist in the books. And Jason never has anything to do with the FoS in the books....so, they've really just used the books as a rough draft and then elaborated. I like it, though.

The Hangover.......and like everybody else, 10/10. That was the most I've laughed during 1 movie since The Pineapple Express.

I don't ever get the live feeds, but I post at places where they have play by play action of the live feeds. I agree with you, Prospekt, about the editing. So far, the only person getting the "bitch" edit is Chima. And, I think that even if you don't have the live feeds, you can kind of get a sense of what is realy happening by paying attention to the block nominees. Lydia WAS, in fact, nominated, so....that has to mean something.

Eh...I don't know. I voted just not to go. I remember being in a situation similar to this with a guy who liked me, but I didn't like him like that. He wasn't a great friend, but I did consider him a friend. We went to the movies together (even though I thought there was going to be more people there) and he told they all bailed and it would be the two of us. Things were fine. We were just two friends watching a movie, ya know. After the movie was over, he walked me to my car and then kissed me. It was awkward, to say the least, but that didn't stop him from confessing his feelings (which I already knew of). It was even more awkward to have to tell him I didn't feel the same way.....and never would. Yep...we stopped speaking after that. So...if you do go, just try not to let things go down the way of the awkward moment.........ya know, the moment when he professes his undying love and you you're like, "yeeeeeeah.....um......bye"

It lasts anywhere between 90 mins and 115 mins... But.......that just seems so short. I swear, after they played Yellow as the encore, I was screaming, "It's over?! Really?!" Seems like it went by so fast.

Stand!!!!! Sure, the seats are there, but I don't see how you could possibly sit during a Coldplay show?! That's one of the few things that bothered me about seeing Coldplay in OKC and sitting where I was sitting. I was the only person in my section standing, screaming, singing, dancing...........the rest sat and looked at me as if I'd gone nuts.

You guys are making me so jealous. I don't have HBO so I'm going to have to wait till the season finishes and I can watch it then. :( I rented season 1 of True Blood via Netflix and LOVED it! I'll say this, the t.v. series is WAY better than the books. The characters are better developed and the dialogue is better. Seriously, the things Charlaine Harris had Sookie saying in the books was just stupid. But, they are quick, indulgent little reads.......however, if you have the means to watch the series, I'd recommend that. The show stayed pretty true to the books up until the middle of the season (season 1) and then they strayed WAY OFF THE BEATEN PATH! haha! And, I honestly liked it! They sorta used the books as a jumping off point and now they've taken it to a whole new level in a completely different direction. I keep hearing the theme song in my head! "When you walked in, the air went out!" Love it! So jealous I have to wait, though.

Amen to this! Most of the extremely pretty people have never had to cultivate a personality because they always got by on their good looks. Plus, the media feeds this sick fascination of looking perfect. :\ That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. I have a skin disorder and I never thought I would find anybody that could look past my physical exterior to see what was inside, but, I was fortunate enough I found someone like that. We have been married for 7 years and have 2 beautiful children. I agree with Mad Hatter.....somebody love will find you, MrNick!
