Today it's "Fix You"

I'll admit, I cried after I bought my tickets. I woke up early just so I could be on the site when the tickets went on sale and when I couldn't find any 2 seats together in RES1, I called the box office. The lady rushed me into buying crappy seats in RES2 and told me everything else was sold out. Ten minutes later when I went back to the site, they were offering 2 seats together in the middle/center sections in RES1. I cried. I felt so cheated. And after doing some searching online for orchestra/floor seats, I find that if I really want a ticket to see my favorite band of all time, I have to pay close to $1000. I can't afford that. I'm just a peon. Yes, I'm 30...married....2 kids....but I couldn't help crying. It's sad I love this band so much, but I do and their music speaks to me. Unfortunately, it's going to have to speak to me at the back of the amphitheatre. :(

Oh really? That gives me a little hope. I went to Stubhub and Ebay and you can buy floor seats, but you have to pay close to $1000 for one ticket. It's just sickening. All the floor seats should "technically" be $97.50 and it should be first come, first served on all of those. It's sad that greed prevails.

Oh gah...I'm so glad I'm not the only one who got shafted. :( When I bought my tix, the website was telling me that there were not 2 tix available for RES1, so I called the box office. I needed 2 for me and the hubs and we ended up with UPPER LEFT WW......not good at all. :( So, after I bought the tix, I was curious and went back to the website, and lo and behold, there were 2 tickets in the CENTER section for RES 1! MM! I was pissed! Because, the tix, of course are non-refundable. *cry cry cry* The last time I went and saw Coldplay, we used Ticketmaster and you could bypass the "best available" and manually search each section yourself. LiveNation doesn't have that feature and it's terrible, because I think I could've found better seats had I been able to search each section. Now I'm stuck with bad tickets. *cries* Oh...I'm driving up from Northwest Arkansas, too! Siloam Springs to be exact. EDIT: Just went back and NOW they have activated the "search section" feature. UGH! It wasn't there before! I don't understand why they tell you that the best seats you can get are in the "nosebleed" and then an hour later, you can find TONS of better seats?!

Yes! Well, at least they did in Oklahoma City and it was spine-tingling to hear a crowded arena full of people singing "singing La la la la la la leeeeeeeey!"

They did play it in Oklahoma City when I went and saw them. It was AMAZING live!!!!!

I find it interesting that these are the last two songs standing, honestly!

Oh God....asking me to define my favorite Coldplay lyrics is like asking me to decide which of my children is my favorite!!! AHHHH! :D I agree with the poster who mentioned that every song, every chord, every riff is perfect. Every song of Coldplay's is poetry and deep and brilliant. I'm also glad to see that so many of you LOVE Amsterdam! Amsterdam has prophetic lyrics. Let's see.... -"For you I bleed myself dry" -"Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head. Hey fellow Coldplay fans! I had to DVR the Grammy's last night due to a recording sesson with my brass quintet, but I rushed home and watched it! I'll say this, I mostly fast-forwarded through a lot of it. The only peformances I watched all the way through were.....naturally, Coldplay! :cool: and Radiohead's and Paul McCartney's. Yay for the 3 Grammys Coldplay won, but BOO to the 2 they SHOULD have won hands down (Album of the Year and Record of the Year). They should've won and if they didn't, there were two other artists who "could've" won the award, but Alison Krauss/Robert Plant?! WTF?! I've never even heard anything about their album, so I was dumbfounded, to say the least. Coldplay rocked their performance, though! They were supremely awesome and I LOVED their new costumes! Gah, I'm so EXCITED to go see them live in July!!!!

I never thought to join a message board, but here I am. After seeing them live in 2008, I'm so excited to see them live again in '09! My name is Katy and I play horn and teach horn.
