  1. this is a clip/an outtake from a documentary by some british filmmaker about sarah palin, which i thought was a sadly entertaining cause to maybe get a dispute about the tea-party-movement started. http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/video/2011/sep/12/nick-broomfield-sarah-palin-you-betcha-video there's a lot of similarities to repeated -what i, from my european point of view regarded to be strange monsense- utterings of some of you guys from the US of A. you know who i mean, i guess. could someone explain, why those of you, who get a dotty feeling when thinking of fox news, sarah palin, michele bachmann, the tea-baggers, etc., why you don't do anything against that? they are really crazy people, aren't they? white supremacists, religious fundamentalists ( they are not religious, actually), homophobes of the most vulgar kind. as far as i get it, they make progress in the usa almost impossible. but nobody of you seems to really care enough to actually step up? edit: i guess i'm being a pain in the ass, but those people irritate me to the point of me developing a severe case of angst. and it's not as if that what happens in the us is utterly meaningless for the rest of this planet.

  8. ^^ i'll come back to chrestemily's synchronised thoughts later, or tomorrow probably! from swiftly browsing through, it seems to be acceptable -and sounds rather nice-christian to me. never the converting bit though. :P ( but i got your point there, i suppose.) so, a more in depth reply later, writing about such matters in a foreign language isn't exactly easy, haha. i get terribly worked up with my shitty random mistakes, which I'm producing all the fucking time, you know. :)

  10. i'm currently cooking loads of tomatoes to freeze sugo for the winter months. today i picked the yellow and red-blackish little ones that i bought in spring for reasons unknown to me. they taste very sweet and yummie, but the sauce looks like puke anyway, i mean really really awful. so now i'm trying to figure out how to make it LOOK yummie too. hello world, i could do with some input here. :disappointed: edit: i processed the puke through a mouli-légumes (is that really what you guys call it?) to get rid of the peels, and now it looks like a heavily rusted version of a tomato-sauce. still not very appetising, but it will do, i reckon.
  11. dear mad hatter, my name is valerie, and i do have a question regarding your faith. to further introduce myself, i was born into christianity, to a family that indulges to go to church for christmas, weddings and funerals, but never really discusses the values connected with it. i've always been very keen on religious matters, i still think jesus was a really good and highly inspirational dude ( but for me hardly the only one), so i've stepped out of all religious schools. i'd call myself an agnostic, but tend to think there's no God out there. or what you would call God is simply love to me, so i believe in deciding for the good, the conjunctive, well, for love actually. my question now is, would you accept my opinion that jesus is inspiration, but not more than buddha and krishnamurti or any deeply humanistic person out there? for me, religious people take a detour to live and discribe very simple things, and they tend to mix up the order of importance when claiming that the symbolic content of their given faith has anything to do with THE THING ITSELF. which is simply love, or the striving for love as much as possible. is that even a question? ah, yes, you said, you want to introduce people to christ, which is giving me a bit of a headache, being an agnostic, you know. why not simply introduce them to the idea of love ( in all it's forms, namely, compassion and empathy) being able to transcend and transform many of the odds and crazy problems we produce and have to deal with. now i introduced you to ethics without religion. :D please understand that i'm not at all confrontational. i reall think though, that the world is becoming too small for that exclusive faith-model thing. getting inspired by someone, eg jesus christ, yes, but not exclusively. the way i understand jesus, he would prolly totally agree.
