hahaha, I guess Mr. Bananaman's reply suits me very well. I happen to be a very curious person, I ask many questions and it happens in everything I do (Hockey, here, school, theatre). That's one thign I'm sure about The rest... well, I'll stick to Banana's reply

hahahahahaha, a Lemon! I love lemons! I love the colour (that's like green with yellow) ..... ah and I don't care my threads have like 1 reply; I'm kinda used to not being very popular here ( say what you want!) ah, this is a picture of my new haircut. I love it and I wanted everyone to see it (naw, really I'm bored and everyone here hates it, so I'm hoping for a nice reply :P) I just adore the way I ended up and it's all myself made. My hair is my platonic love now... If that's possible

Since I don't come here very often, I realised that If you are not here a lot (or with enough time on your hands to spend more than 10 mins in here) you don't really have anything to post. Not because there's nothing really interesting, but because the titles are dull boring (and often have something inside that's totally different to the title). Titles such as "Fuck, fuck, fuck" or "GSCE 2005" do not seem very attractive to me, even though the content can be. (but I often read only the things that I think sound interesting - sometimes depending on the author -). You might think, before you read this, that this was about the space shuttle, maybe about the Channel (I was watching tv the other day...). A boar is like market. You try to make your post as interestig and attractive as possible, so people will read them (If a hypocrite tells me that he/sh doesn't care about that, I would not believe that).
  7. hahahahahaha! It seems like this board in made for the Northern Hemisphere It's cold here (not really) and most people get sick between Huly and August Funny world is this

no laziness! I used to say zero and my teachers kept correcting me (to say O ) and now the letter stuck on my vocabulary. I find it weird. It has never happened to me with people from the U.S.A though Might be a coincidence Who knows!

why, when you are giving a phone number in english, the number 0 you say it like the letter O (pronounced it) instead of zero?
  10. I realised how negative I can be sometimes! I told my parents and they said they sort of guessed I would tell them, at one point, that I would become a vegetarian and they said they had no problem with it but If I wanted special food it was up to my nanny to decide and they took me to the nutritionist and I have special food at school and it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be! The only thing now is that my classmates tease me, but I don't really care! :D

yes, on Monday and it was quite big and lots of very old places are now on the ground. But no one cares, it's not like we had a tsunami or turists died

We had an earthquake on Monday (7.9 Richter) and no one seems to have any idea of it and it's just like when Japan has earthquakes and no one seems to care, except because Japan is a big power in the world. Is that because we are an insignificant country? because there were very few casualties? or because there were no foreigns involved?
  13. You might consider it a very silly question but there are no flats around here, so for example me has never live in one and still most people live in houses in big cities here but that's not the same everywhere else so 'm just curious to see the results.
  14. yo no me fio de sus sources! solo lo creeré cuando vea los carteles en Santiago (y no saben lo exagerado y feo que hacen los carteles acá ) P.S: Yo también soy Chilena :smug:
  15. I took it from Voltaire but I've found out that many people have said it after him (and maybe before aswell)
  16. I must say you are the first boy I 'know' that is vegetarian. My brothers and classmates (all boys) say being vegetarian goes against their 'virility' () and that a good macho eats meat and I've found out that, at least here, all boys think alike. Must be a cultural thing, I guess
  17. Ah, Thank you very much! :) You're right Musiclover; I meant veggie not exactly vegetarian. I know If you have a balanced diet there's no problem, the thing is I live in a place with little comodities and I don't get Soya Milk or Tofu; most people eat here just meat with potatoes or spagguetti or salads and that's it. I don't know how to tell my parents, that's the biggest problem. I don't eat bacon, sausages, poultry, hamburgers and chicken so I would actually be taking out only the dairy products, eggs and red meat and I don't really fancy them but I just don't know what to say! I feel it's pretty much like Texas and mine's a meat-eater family (5 times a week at least). Thanks anyway and probably I'm just drawing myself in a glass of water and they'll take it much better than I think they will!
  18. what kind of vegetarians exactly are you? and can you live without milk? (I know you can, my question should rather be something like what happens with your calcium levels -Remember I'm 16 *growing*-) The story goes like this. Me wants to become vegetarias, parents don't want and my doctor is an anti-veggie and he said no way I could become one and parents use that as an argument for saying no. I've read it is possible (in fact many people do it) but I don't know for a first hand source and my only friend who is a veggie in a pescetarian (eats fish, eggs and milk) so actually she's not really a veggie at all. Thanks
  19. I can't believe I started this thread! wow, I really wasn't doing well then! THANKS IT'S GONE! :P

thanks! I'll leave the 'how it works' bit to Jen. It's a long story when its a civil occasion. ah, Thanks! I just hope she comes here in the near future  and terrible change! I couldn't understand why in the Members Lounge all threads were dedicated to Coldplay! :sneaky:
  21. that they are useful sometimes they are, I will not argue on the 'obvious', but I repeat they haven't improved the quality of life, we must make a difference there and that was the original question (I make the point there, and I'll keep doing it because at least here, we are sold the productt with the argument that they will in fact improve our quality of life and they don't! They make our life easier in a way, but not for that they improve it!)

here's it "Cédula Nacional de Identidad" . is it mandatory to vote there or not? Here it is but only If you inscribe yourself on your district. You must be 18 at the moment of inscription and then you must vote in your district or If you are abroad, in an Embassy. But no one oblieds you to get registered, so most young people do not vote.
  23. I know that, but that's not really my question, My question is wether it has improved the quality of life or not and first by the way it got here I don't think so. Some of my classmates believe they have because we live in a rural area and they live in remote farms and normal phone doesn't get there so the only contact with the "world" they have is through the mobiles and that enables them to received calls and connect to the Internet. That's a very expecific case, but even then, I don't think there's mucyh improvement. You could say it is obvious it's just a commercial thing but I wonder how on earth have they become so popular and used If they are not really necesarry? I mean there's public phone booths and regular telephones, then why?

Ah, I see! We don't need Passport for Perú, just the I.D Card, but to get a passport we need the I.D. Card first. What does your card have?
  25. Neither do I. I don't really think there's much point in it since I live in a rural area and we don't get signal and when I'm at the city I just use public phones, but most people in my school have one (even though they don't have signal) and I could say that more than 2/3 of young people, at least in the Capital, have one (1/3 of the population lives there)
