anyone read any good books lately?
I read Lord of the flies a while ago..... well I never ending it though, but it was very good, until I lost the book :dozey: Brave New World is about "humans" living in a perfect world. It was writen is 1932, were people started to speak and believe about a perfect world, the "utopia" and it's reall great. They are living on 600 AF (After Ford - Ford it was their god) and it's suppose to be a perfect place. Everyone's happy, and they all do what the are suppose t do. There is this man who is different to all the rest and he goes to a wild reserve, that is where the humans , like us, lived and that's when the book gets more exciting, at least for me. It doesn't sound very good, but it really is. :D

anyone read any good books lately?
Working in a book shop...... that'd a dream job!! :nice: I'm reading Demian, once again, from Herman Hesse. I read El Tunel, from Ernesto Sabato....... marvellous. I also read The Perfume, but that was quite a while ago; nevertheless, I still think it's great. That was for spanish, and for english I'm reading the original version of Brave New World from Aldous Huxley..... I read it already, but in spanish, and it had some excellent things, others not so good, but still, a masterpiece for me!

Medicine
maybe this is non of your interest but, well nevermind..... I have to choose what I want to study soon, since I have to take some special lessons for it, and I have no clue of what to do, how did you [people who have decided something already] did it? I have two options; Mathematics & Physics with a mention in Astronomy (you pass 2 commons years and then especialise in Astronomy) or Medicine. I got the mind, time, patient and money for it, but I can't make up my mind. Physics is lovely; studying light it's marvellous, funny, strange.... for me is the best panorama.... and well, Astronomy is even better, and Maths just goes with it. This is what I would like too, but you study a lot for something that in/on my country it's useless. On the other hand, we have Medicine... which I like some parts of it. Surgery....... that's disgusting, but besides that, everythings fine. The nervous system and the brain are amazing things to study, so it also calls my attention very much, but I don't think I would be a good doctor. What I want to do is to teach people :/ . You can work anywhere, everywhere and economically speaking, it's much more rentable. And it would be more useful If I decide to work as a voluteer, which is what I'm looking foward. How do you choose between them? and why do you have to choose? I know I can't study both because, well because they are not compatible, but I have no clue what to do and ... it's not funny to be listening to University talks and parents all the time, asking you what you'll study ... and staff like that a.k.a I hate the social pressure around it. So... any suggestions (besides "shut up")?

Spain or Portugal?
Greece could loose against Russia :dozey: and then Portugal win against Spain and If they score more goal than Greece they still would pass  (the footbal chart is complicated :dozey: ) But since that's not very likely; Spain! :D

Footy
That's what we call Footy here too....... actiolly that's what I meant by " a very rustic way of Rugby", thought It's not even that...... it looks like a hybrid between American Footbal and Rugby   ours it's just a very rustic (simple) Rugby... no rules, no stops. That's footy.... well at the beginning it was just kicking (that's why Footy) but then, it's what I said, to us at least. (I think though!)

When Hicksy said "We played footy with Doogie" does he mean the same footy as Julia from Australia? I am getting the impression they are not, though they use the same word!
