I've been in a semi-similar situation... When rumors about Mr.Anderson got around about him "inappropriately touching students" or something of that sort, he was fired ASAP, no questions asked. It turned out the rumors were false afterward too, the girls who started them only did so to have him fired. It wasn't like I didn't know him either, he was my Science teacher for almost a year...

I don't think this would really be considered a "message board of strangers" either. I can say we are somewhat acquainted with each other, most of us frequent posters who go outside the Coldplay Section? I mean, some of us have each other added on Facebook, Twitter, etc., so I suppose those of us who do so feel some sort of connection to one another (or we just add anybody who friends us on social networks, however I'm aware most don't). Correct me if I'm wrong...
