UGH, it's just that in my opinion they're one of the greatest bands, ever. Albums like Campfire Songs, Feels, Strawberry Jam etc are incredible. really. They're hipster because of the Merriweather Post Pavillion thing really. P4K and everyone picked up on that album and hyped it up like crazy, but the thing is, it's not that great. Compared to Animal Collectives other work it's just pretty average, really. ghhh :(

I am thinking Fireworks - Animal Collective didn't really appreciate it until i started playing it myself. changes time signatures a few times and it's extremely difficult to sing... yeah. that's what came into my mind

bumping this thread to say i was just burgled :( came home to find all of my dads personal files all over the place, window broken, my guitar, family laptops, ipods, but nothing THAT big. everything is everywhere so it's impossible to work out what has been stolen. my dad's files are the things that matter really. :( ughhh

oh i forgot tomboy! probably because i heard most of the songs last year...it's very good!

I still think the Burial single/ep and Ego/Mirror have been the best things of the year. Radiohead, Fleet Foxes, Elbow, TV On The Radio, Battles albums all seemed very average. some good songs but just not very appealing to me.
