  1. I need to catch up on all the fic updated/posted. Hmm..
  2. Yeah, totally! But that's life for you. Haha, thanks.
  3. Hm. Between T Rex and The Cramps. Or, well, David Bowie during the Ziggy Stardust era, but Bowie is still around so... sq
  4. Hard rock is one of those genres I never place the right bands in. Because, to me, hard music is more along the lines of bands like Minor Threat or The Locust or even White Zombies but none of those bands are even close to being HARD ROCK. Hahaha.
  5. I think they're going to get back together again so I'm not that upset yet. I'm more upset over not seeing other bands live before they disbanded because of deaths or something else permanent. If you could back in time to see any disbanded band from the past, who would it be?
  6. Hehe. Thanks but it's not that big of a deal. Just makes me appreciate all the awesome things I have now.
  7. You're so pretty! You kind of look like my friend, but younger looking and with longer hair.

I have to read Beowulf, but I honestly like it so far. -dork-
  9. THIS. I've been homeless a couple times in my life and of course a lot of charities and church groups would help us out but me and my family received SO MUCH help (and company) from other homeless people. One homeless man even helped us find a cheap house for rent (and we've been living here ever since). I saw him doing yard work for this house down the street block the other day and he still remembered me from years back. :) I know I'm too trusting and I know that there are bad homeless people out there who just want money for drugs or do other bad things, but that's true about people in general so. I don't know.
  10. Sorry if I changed tenses a lot, I reviewed these songs during different times and sometimes I'd review it halfway, leave, and come back and review it after another listen so... I looked over it again, but I didn't want to hold onto it for any longer JUST for proper grammar. haha TRACK 1 It sounds like an accordion opening up this song. If it's not, I apologize for totally failing on identifying that instrument. (I have a feeling it's probably all done on the synthesizer, though.) Anyway. I like it. I am a sucker for songs that start off slow and get a kick about halfway and is played faster after that. Which is exactly what this song does. I wasn't a big fan of the vocals, but as the song progressed I started to like it. Especially at the end. It just fit perfect. TRACK 2 I like the guitars about 30 seconds in the song. It took me a bit to realize it was an instrumental song but when I did, I really got into it. The guitars are really killer, but I am a little disappointed that the drums didn't play anything too extraordinary. When it comes to instrumentals, I'm really keen on drums. But I still loved this song, it's really cool and I like how it builds up to this one moment toward the end. TRACK 3 OH! I've heard this song before! I couldn't point out how at first, but now - after listening to it over and over again - I know that I had seen the video for this song one time. I never caught the name of the artist so I'm curious to see who it is by because this song is so beautiful. Sometimes I don't like it when it breaks from song to rap to song to rap, but this here plays out really well. And the bridge of this song just makes me go, "oh, my heart" because it's that beautiful. I like the overlapping of voices at the end of the song, too. TRACK 4 Okay, I'll admit I didn't like this song at first. It's really slow and while I like me a good slow song, this song dragged out REALLY slow. But as I listened to it more and more, it kind of grew on me. I like the overlapping of voices, it's cute. I just wish the singing didn't start a minute into the song because it got a little boring. TRACK 5 The male vocals remind me of some really cheesy sex song or something, but I enjoyed the female voice. It's a really fun song; a nice dance song. I like the guitar during the last minute of the song. TRACK 6 This song has a really interesting start with vocals harmonizing and then the break into piano. I really really like the piano in this song and the cool build up of instruments. I feel like I've heard these vocals before but I probably haven't - I like them, though. It's a little weird when he hits those high notes during the chorus, but I still like it. Totally digging the bridge as well and some strings! Nice. TRACK 7 A nice traditional Spanish sound with a modern kick to it. I love it when things have this kind of desert sound to them, too. Which sounds a little silly but really got me to like this. And surprise heavy guitar at the end! That's brilliant! The only thing is that the song ended way too soon. TRACK 8 This song's really interesting. I described it as Enrique Iglesias singing in French, but I have no idea what language it is so I don't want to dub it as French or anything. I like the trumpets in this song, but I have a huge soft spot for trumpets. TRACK 9 Beautiful piano entrance and then BAM a surprise of instruments. I'm not that big a fan of the vocals, though. I like the drumming; I mean, there's nothing real special about it but I just like how it's a little overpowering over the vocals. I just don't like the song that much. TRACK 10 Reggae! I love me some reggae! I'm starting to notice a little religious theme going on in this mix, hehe. What can I say? This is a great reggae song that plays out really well. I don't know if I should call it beatboxing or not that he does at some point of the song... but I really like it. It's cool. Dude! I love this song! Really interested to hear who this is by. Track 11 Love the vocals in this; they sounded really familiar the first time I listened to them and about halfway into the song I figured out that it was Incubus. My friend is a really big fan of this band and I like the songs I've heard (like this one), but I've never gotten largely into them. I should. I like how it all builds up in the end, if that makes any sense. How it goes from soft to loud to soft to loud; it's a nice song. TRACK 12 I liked the man's vocals in this and all of a sudden female vocals came in and I liked 'em too. They have a similar singing style which go really well together. It's a great duet, but I also have a soft spot for duets. I especially like the part where the man sings, "Do you believe?" and the women sings back "I DO BELIEVE." And even the guitars sort of mimic each other. Great song! TRACK 13 I like the vocals in this song too. I feel like I've heard this before, but I know I probably haven't. And, gosh, I love the lyrics to this song! And the guitar. Cute song despite it's lyrics. heh. TRACK 14 Neil Young! Oh, and I love this song too! Okay, so after listening to this for a while now I'm going to risk sounding stupid and say that this might, probably, is Oasis? I really love Oasis but I never knew they did a cover to this song, but I don't want to be lame and have you tell me it's not them. hahaha! Anyway, this song is a classic. It's executed really well but not super special. I honestly like it when bands try to change up covers and make it their own but, if this is Oasis, I don't really expect that from them since they never do that. TRACK 15 I'm totally digging the vocals on this and the guitar. He kind of sounds like Jack White but I don't think it's him; it stops sounding like him the more you get into the song anyway. I like that it pauses for a couple seconds to just get back into the song and the piano is so pretty. The bluesy sound in this is brilliant! And then there's a chorus of vocals and the lead singer sings this high-pitched note which sounds great! These are my favorite kind of songs. Where it sounds like it was sung among a group of friends just chillaxing and having a good time. I think this my favorite song off of this mix, too! Oh, and there's hand claps at the end which just complete the whole sound. Love it! Great ending to this mix. Overall, I loved the diversity in this mix since I like to think I have a diverse taste in music. I don't know if that was intentional - probably not since no one on here even knows who I am - but if it was, that's a super cool consideration. I didn't like all the songs on this mix but I did like a lot of them and I haven't heard the majority these songs before which is awesome! Thank you so much for whoever made this! And thanks for being so patient for this review.
  11. Whoever made my mixtape, sorry I'm taking so long. I've been so busy, but I'm finishing up the review right now so I'll hopefully post it soon. :)

Theatre made me strongly dislike Shakespeare and iambic pentameter. Just sayin'.
  13. I fell in love at the seaside; I handled my charm with time and slight of hand~

I like it when there's thunder and lightening right before it actually rains... or if it only drizzles. Not a big fan of the actual rain.
  15. Got my mixtape and I'm downloading it right now. This is exciting!
  16. I haven't downloaded it yet but just based on all the songs I know on there, this mix sounds so amazing. omg.
  17. I know they're not the best band playing the best music out there, but they are and have been my favorite hands down. I don't think I could ever love a band as much as this one.
  18. I don't even remember how I ended up listening to In My Place, but when I heard it I acted like it was the best song I had ever heard. (Keep in mind I was, what? Eleven? And just developing my own individual taste in music outside of whatever you heard on the radio.) I went out and bought the Rush of Blood CD and haven't stopped loving Coldplay ever since. In My Place is still my favorite song. :)
  19. Nope. What's one movie in theatres that you really want to see?
  20. This. And lots and lots of sleep.
  21. Meh. What's the last thing you ate?
  22. I was going to say "isn't Bob Dylan dead" but I'm just thinking of this book I'm reading where all the men in the world died except for one and they were talking about a bunch of rockstars that died, including Bob Dylan. Talk about mixing fact with fiction. hahaha!
  23. That's mine! I tried not to get too obscure but still add a good variety so I'm glad you appreciated that. And I saw you put another Cold War Kids song in your mix so I was afraid you already had this one, but decided to take the risk just because I love that song so much and it fit in so well with all the other. Sorry you didn't like the ska all that much, though. It's my favorite genera so I just had to sneak it in a couple times. Here's the tracklist: 1. Trashcan - Delta Spirit 2. Conquest - Tapes 'n Tapes 3. Baby's Got Sauce - G. Love & Special Sauce 4. Don't Look Back - Them 5. Say I Won't (Recognize) - The Gaslight Anthem 6. Nights Of The Living Dead - Tilly and the Wall 7.
