I don't think we have to define ourselves to others, it's not a must. If you feel you're unique and you don't know why you are so, just leave it, you don't have to reply to this thread all because it's a question and you feel obligated to post something. What matters most is how a person understands the concept of being unique, whether that person wants to know why he's unique. Because if he just dumps the idea of the reasoning of it and doesn't really care, then does that person know himself or is just trying to convince himself that he is unique? And I agree that everyone wants to be different, just how much the difference is. In terms of achievement and experience (someone pointed it out), I will say that it also applies; wanting to be different in that sense. Some people just need reasons to boost their confidence (in terms of this, uniqueness). And I'm not saying it's wrong. Pretty lame, yes. But we always try to find out reasons for ourselves, don't we?

I really like her as a friend. She's a fun friend, and she's really hard working. She gets good grades, but she wants more, thus she will fight for more marks with teachers. I don't mean to make her sound bad or whatever, because she really is nice. Just, sometimes. We never know what to expect from people. :\

So, every time when I get back my test papers, there might be mistakes to the counting or marking. I would tell teacher about it, and sometimes I gain marks, sometimes I lose marks. My friend asked my last night to take back whatever papers returned today for her, since she will not be in school. So I took back of her test papers and teacher counted her marks wrong, and she has to lose marks. I told teacher, and teacher corrected it. But what I'm afraid is how this act might cost my friendship with her. She sort of is rather... Fond of marks and wants more? :\ And I sort of made her lose marks. :| On top of that, initially, both of us got the same marks. But after the correction, she got less than me. Sort of just adds to the problem, doesn't it? I try to be honest. I'm afraid what I did could cost my friendship with her.

Oh yes, I talked about Blur for my English Oral exam. :charming: And I got full marks. :awesome: But I suppose my teacher was being lenient.
