I'm glad I'm not a girl
I'm trying so hard to show these ideas to my friends, not shove it down their throats but to see if they can understand what I come from. Sometimes they do but other times they make fun of girls who in their minds look manly. I had to explain to a close friend that it was a ignorant thing to think. At least evolution is happening little by little and hopefully by the time i'm older the world will seem less scared of change.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
^Yes thats the point that I wanted to get across. My best friend was very tall and very thin and people made fun of her a lot and they thought it was a compliment by calling her anorexic because calling someone fat is the only harmful thing you can tell a girl. It hurt me a lot that they said such things. Like you can't be really skinny either! It's also unhealthy is someone was actually anorexic (but making fun of someone like that doesnt help either!!!!!!!!!!!) but I knew she just had smaller bones and that was just her natural frame. Also sucks that if a girl has a bigger frame they're like "lmao!!! is she a man????!!!" seriously I want to punch eveybody. Also today some guy was asking/complaining to us why our friend Veronica has such short hair and that she looks like a lesbian and I seriously had to hold my fist down. Then guys with their head shaven are actually bald eagles.

Being fat doesnt make you ugly, it looks unhealthy. But everybody can live the way they want as long as they're happy.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
I agreed so much with that blog post, just watching the ad the first time made me feel as uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to repeat what she wrote so I'll just say that it's sad that people still think its okay to say "oh no but you ARE pretty" if someone is feeling unattractive. Reminds me when i told my mom that kids were making fun of me when they said i wasn't femenine and she said "but you ARE femenine so theres no problem" when instead she should have said "it doesnt matter if you are or arent femenine you're wonderful just the way you are" cheesy, but a lot better. I actually had this idea to draw myself on a bad day where i felt really ugly and draw myself on a good day when I felt pretty and see the difference and the ad tries to give a message but not a good one, or at least not a good conclusion.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
Hm, okay well I dont know Nicki Minaj personally but I think she's free to wear whatever she wants? if thats what she wants to do for living (which she doesnt, at the end shes touring and recording so she at least does something other than just wearing revealing clothing) then power to her. The 'shoulders back tits out' thing is a little weird but i think you got the context wrong, I hope.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
omg i remember that episode, its sooooo dumb that it actually happens in real life and i guess they want to be like The Beauty Expert of some dumb shit I agree that makeup is fine theres nothing really wrong with it, its that I should be free to decide when or how much I use. For example I only use eye makeup such as eyeliner and mascara to school and in parties (which i go to once in a blue moon) some foundation and natural shades of eyeshadow because idk thats what I like and thats the way I express myself. It's not the right way or the wrong way, its the way I do it. Something that also annoys me is when people praise women who look beautiful naturally and shame those who use too much makeup. Why does it even matter to you? Or having plastic surgery is a fake way to hide your "ugly". I wouldn't call my mom fake because she has done those things, because thats what she likes and she wants to do it for herself, not to please everyone else. And why give a special little star to those that are pretty naturally because they didnt do anything! Like you have to be very pretty but it has to be effortless. And shame the women who spend money, time and practice to achieve to look pretty? I belive that women should look, act and be whoever they want to be and not be judged just because they have to fit a norm of society. Thats what its like to be a woman! Being judged my men, society, religion and sadly us women judge eachother. I guess I'm a feminist but heavier on gender equality than misandry.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
I could talk about this for ages because omg ok Kat you're beautiful  I love you so much, seriously i went through exactly this  After reading this I'm actually considering to stop wearing makeup. Because now that I remember I started using makeup because I was bullied heavily by some boys that called me ugly and masculine because I had short hair (and i still cant belive that people still see that as a shock, its just hair why is short hair just for men?) and at first I tried to be strong and kept believing that I should just be myself but after a while I gave in and started being more femenine. The exact day was when my friends boyfriend called me "la hombre" which translates to "she man" basically calling me a man for my features/appearance. The next day I used makeup, flowers in my hair and til that day on i felt uncomfortable with myself. I didn't dress very masculine, just not very femenine but now I had the pressure to be femenine because I was a girl. Girls also pressured me to be more girly, it frusterated me so god damn much because they just couldnt accept me for who I was and tried to do a makeover and wear dresses THEY wanted me to use and once my friend put a lot of makeup on me and made me use my most girly clothing to school and asked boys if they thought i was cute and one boy said "she's pretty but she acts masculine" and she used that as proof that I need to change. How stupid! Change for what? to attract men? men who have certain taste in women? Then they aren't for me! This goes the same way for men who act femenine are called faggots or are assumed to be gay, the same way people constantly ask me if I'm a lesbian. Gender has nothing to do with sexuality. Infact I dont even think gender even exists now, because theres so much variety in people. Some girls are very femenine and theres nothing wrong with that, others are like me and I now realize ive been pretending to be something I'm not to be accepted and I hope to change this. Exactly, the problem isnt makeup but that its now expected that every woman must or they dont look like actual women or treated like they dont deserve to be a woman. Then its like the only purpose we have is to be pretty. I think this happens a lot in tv I know growing up I never looked up to female characters because they were pretty lame at only being the love interest or the token chick. It just annoys me and has always been a problem that things are either blue or pink.
