I feel for you man ha, but one thing about the Mumford gig in Cork was that it was announced on the bands website about a month before the date and they are very popular here in Ireland so that's what I didn't get like how they never advertised it and The Savoy (where all the 'big' acts would perform in Cork) normally does a good job publicising up coming gigs and stuff. you could try ebay or the oxegen.ie forum maybe? and also oxegen donate any tents left behind to charity apparently. I don't blame you though. problem with Ireland is that they seem to prioritise R&B and that kind of stuff over all over types of music. Back in March Mumford & Sons were playing in Cork and it wasn't advertised around the city at all, I didn't find out till the day before and it was sold out by then. Then a few years back N-Dubz were playing and there were posters for it everywhere. They either prefer that stuff over everything else or they seem to think there best selling point is towards young teens and girls……

If I were you i'd sell your ticket and just get a 3 day camping ticket instead, you'd save more money that way

yeah that sounds about right, the second biggest stage is the Vodafone stage, which is the stage the Black Eyed Peas were on last year. It's silly really that they brought them back a second year running (especially since they're crap)

is there any news on the new album? last i heard jonny said it'll be between April and July but that was last summer. I know they've moved into a studio now but any release news or anything?

i'm pissed over it too, it was a brilliant combination of coldplay and the strokes. It's because it's Beyonce and how popular she is in Ireland is why the strokes got moved to friday. If the strokes are on the main stage though before the script and black eyed peas i'll be fuming, two poppy overrated groups being put first over the strokes would be pathetic. At least Coldplay are still closing the festival though

I think it was already said that they aren't playing any new stuff in the summer, which i think will suck but I also don't believe it either. I'm hoping they'll do something similar to the Kings Of Leon when they were doing festivals last year and play us a few that will definitely be on the album

Also say what the band, album or song means to you too if you want and then debate and shit I also made sure I wasn't starting a thread that had already been done so i went through all 35-40 pages in the WOM section to see if something similar had been set up and I found nothing. Anyone on here living in Ireland will surely agree with me that Ham Sandwich are one of the best hidden talents confided to within the country (Look up the song Ants, Keepsake and St. Christopher.) Fight Like Apes are good, funny lyrics too (Look up the song Come On, Lets Talk About Our Feelings). Black Robots but they've broken up due to some ignorant american band who had the same name minus the S and so the band broke up after the problem (Look up the song Stand). Rubberbandits are good if you're into the hip hop/comedy thing (Look up the song Horse Outside.) The Coronas (brilliant live, Look up the song Someone Else's Hands.) Ryan Sherridan who's fairly new or at least he is to me. (Look up the song Jigsaw.) The Ambience Affair, the supported Villagers back in December in Cork, thought they were quite good (Look up the song Devil In The Detail.) They're my recommendations anyway, They're fairly good so enjoy them :)

The Strokes - Angles, a lot of good albums are coming out recently and i don't have the money to keep up with them. Damn. Next one i'm getting is definitely between Noah And The Whale, The Vaccines or Elbow
