  1. Congratulations! Oh, that's hilarious! "what boat"
  2. The new episode turned out great! And I agree with what was mentioned above, the super-imposed images and text just give it that extra 'oomph'. I like how the 'and Chris fucking it up' was thrown in there... that made me laugh!
  3. In any deadlines that I have dealt with, the deadline date is included. So if the deadline is today, you can still submit it today.
  4. :awesome: Wow, Harvard! And a full ride scholarship to boot!?! That's amazing, I'm so happy for her!
  5. people think I'm cccrrrrraaaaaaaaaaazzzyy.... what's tha matter with you boy... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuRxXRuAz-I]YouTube - The Rolling Stones- Miss You[/ame] and this one is a recent development... although I must say I prefer this live version over the original [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDSofW8kfm0&feature=fvwrel]YouTube - Radiohead - There, there (live on Jools Holland, 2003)[/ame]
  6. * temporarily closing thread until newbie trolls find something better to do with their time * edit: har dee har har trolls so funneh edit: reopened thread
  7. "It" sounds like a troll anyway who failed at trolling. It just posted this on the radiohead message board, essentially quoting my post above: And the great thing is... this dude is making fun of a fellow Radiohead fan. Talk about epic troll fail!
  8. Your very first post on this forum is to bump a thread that hasn't had a post in nearly 3 years? Sounds suspect...
  9. It say's I'm logged in though... does it not show my username?
  10. Garrrrrrrrrrr, I forgot that my work computer doesn't let the chat feature work. I can hear the music just fine though...
  11. sure for a little while, then I have to head home (maybe I'll make it home in time for the end too) in the meantime I'll listen to my favorite song again...
  12. I was on The Price is Right a few months before he retired. :wacky: Unfortunately I didn't get to "come on down".
  13. In honor of my 4,444th post, I shall dedicate it to the lovely Will with a massive picspam...
  14. Wow, that's messed up. I like the article, they did a pretty good job of summarizing the situation and interviewed quite a few people. I wonder if Radiohead will be made aware of this... and at least one 400-mile-carbon-footprint-for-moot.
  15. There's already 93 listings on ebay. :| And one person is selling the newspaper distribution bag with it. :bomb: http://cgi.ebay.com/VERY-RARE-Universal-Sigh-shirt-bag-newspaper-bundle-/280651727307?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41582581cb
  16. 12-Year-Old Genius Expands Einstein's Theory of Relativity, Thinks He Can Prove It Wrong Could Einstein's Theory of Relativity be a few mathematical equations away from being disproved? Jacob Barnett of Hamilton County, Ind., who is just weeks shy of his 13th birthday, thinks so. And, he's got the solutions to prove it. Barnett, who has an IQ of 170, explained his expanded theory of relativity — in a YouTube video. His mother Kristine Barnett, who admittedly flunked math, did what every other mother would do if her genius son started talking mathematical gibberish. She told him to explain the whole thing slowly while she taped her son explaining his take on the theory. <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFmrlIEpJOE?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFmrlIEpJOE?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object> While most of his mathematical genius goes over our heads, some professors at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey — you know, the U.S. academic homeroom for the likes of Albert Einstein, J. Robert Oppenheimer, and Kurt Gödel — have confirmed he's on the right track to coming up with something completely new. For now, they're encouraging Barnett to continue doing what he likes to do, which is explaining calculus using a whiteboard marker and his living room windows as seen in the video above. “I'm impressed by his interest in physics and the amount that he has learned so far,” Institute for Advanced Study Professor Scott Tremaine wrote in an email to the family. “The theory that he's working on involves several of the toughest problems in astrophysics and theoretical physics.” “Anyone who solves these will be in line for a Nobel Prize,” he added. Barnett's parents knew that there was something different with their son when he didn't speak until the age of two. He was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, a mild form of autism, so they thought he might have problems in school. Instead, they were astounded when he started solving 5,000 piece puzzles by the age of 3. The 12-year-old taught himself calculus, algebra and geometry in two weeks, and can solve up to 200 numbers of Pi. He left high school at the ripe old age of eight and has been attending college-level advanced astrophysics classes ever since. Right now, Barnett is being recruited by Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis for a paid research position. We figure he'll find a way to pencil that in between dating his girlfriend and playing Halo: Reach, one of his favorite video games. Yes, he can play classical music by memory on the piano, but he also enjoys watching shows on the Disney Channel and sci-fi movies. In many ways, he's your typical 12-year-old boy. Einstein was 26 when he first published his Theory of Relativity. We figure that Jake has a couple of years to kick back and relax before he finally debunks the big bang theory. “I'm still working on that,” he said. “I have an idea, but… I'm still working out the details." http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/03/26/12-year-old-genius-expands-einsteins-theory-of-relativity/
  17. Well, I was going to go ahead and donate some today on behalf of the site. If anyone wants to contribute to my donation via PayPal that's fine, but I'm not expecting anything since I was planning on doing it anyway. Maybe as the event gets closer we can make an additional contribution?
  18. Personally I would be flattered, but I would just have to explain to them, "hey I'm flattered, but I just don't swing that way, sorry." It has probably taken the person a long time to build up the courage to even let you know, so you have to respect that. And the person probably went into the conversation hoping that it wouldn't change your friendship if you turned them down... so going into it they likely prepared themself mentally for the possibility that you would say no. I'm curious... did you already know that the person was attracted members of the same sex, or did that revelation come as an utter surprise to you also?
  19. "separation of church and state" If taxpayers' money is in any way construed as being dedicated to religious purposes (regardless of the religion), it violates that law.
  20. Yeah, I saw that! :surprised: Well, they left their name in the message, so I'm guessing they know her personally. edit: Does the other lady with her, Kerry, work for the band also? *asks question whilst trying not to sound stupid for not already knowing one way or the other*
  21. ^ probably I see that Vicki donated, how cute. :nice: *considers donating on behalf of colplaying*
  22. Well, considering "Education chiefs stressed that children will continue to learn about the six major faiths - Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.", I think Humanism would be a good addition. However, the fact that those religions mentioned above are taught in public schools in the UK in the first place is intriguing to me. Basically, by law that could never happen over here in public schools. Private schools yes, but not public schools. I suppose some of those classes could be taught as an elective course, but even that would be pushing it (I'm not aware of any that do). That would still be taxpayer money paying those teachers.
  23. ah yes, the whole chicken/egg dilemma
  24. zero clouds in the sky, about 4C
