How do you feel about your country funding a conflict during an economic crisis?
Well, impeached technically means simply "to bring charges against". It does not mean they will get thrown out of office. Most people assume they are one in the same, but they are not. Bill Clinton was impeached, but he didn't get kicked out (he was acquitted by the Senate). I haven't heard about the details you are referring to yet, but if that's true, the situation with Bush was a bit different. The President has some overriding powers in certain 'times of war' or something like that; I don't think that threshold was passed with the Libya situation, so that is the difference.

:awesome: Well I hope you have lots of fun! I've never been to New York, and I'm already on this side of the pond. :disappointed:

What's the weather like today in your town?
Oooh, I've never had pansies in my garden, I've only used impatiens or begonias. Do pansies last all the way from spring to autumn?

Time for us to get some more intelligent intelligence if that's the case.

What's the weather like today in your town?
I think it has something to do with unique pressure or air flow, causing 'electric friction' in the snow... or something like that. So it's like the snow itself is causing the lightning (and resulting thunder) as opposed to storm clouds themselves. I'll see if I can find a better description. edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thundersnow There's a lot of technical weather terminology here, but it is a pretty good description.

Exactly. And for the wrong reasons, which made it worse. Bush: "Saddam tried to kill my daddy years ago so I'm gonna git him back and wrongfully convince everybody that he was responsible for 9/11 (by slapping WMD labels on random satellite images that any first-grader could have photoshopped or Microsoft Paint-ed for that matter) to use it as an excuse to justify going over there to git him derp dee derp."

It's relatively calm now, but we're going to get a not-so-lovely winter storm tonight (after spring has officially started, of course :dozey:). Local forecast: * Significant Ice/Sleet Accumulations Possible * Significant snow accumulations likely for northern areas * Thundersnow/sleet possible with thunder storms likely * Roads, sidewalks, untreated pavement may get icy overnight as temperatures near/drop below freezing. * Wednesday morning commute will have highest impact But I admit I'm liking the thundersnow part of the forecast. :awesome:

Since you're only asking how we feel about the money side of it, that's all that I will get into. Basically, as you said, the money is already spent. Defense spending is a piece of the annual budget pie, it is already allocated, so it is a 'sunk cost' regardless of the current financial climate.

Diabetes
I just found out last month that my cousin has diabetes, she's the same age as me. And she's always been really skinny, I think she usually eats okay, so it's a bit hard to comprehend. I guess she's probably always had it to some degree and didn't know it, and then she developed gestational diabetes, but it stayed there even after she gave birth. That would suck. I'm not very knowledgable about the effects of diabetes, so... why would someone with diabetes need special treatment for any kind of wounds?

*looks* Cool! And please, whenever people start to get the newspaper album, if any of you post pictures please do so in spoilers. It will probably be at least 2 weeks after the ship date before people in the States receive them, and ideally I'd like my first look at it to be in person. Thanks bunches.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Part of her answer indicated that song was part of the Viva era. The 60 minutes interview was during the Viva era, not after. I chatted with the person on Friday, and I slightly misinterpreted what they initially told me. It's so hard to phrase this without giving it away, but basically the person doesn't really have the ability to announce/post pictures yet. So it might be awhile. But trust me... it will be worth the wait! :awesome:

Yes it's quite surprising to people who don't live here, you're not alone. From wikipedia: According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the city with the largest percentage of Arab Americans is Dearborn, Michigan (southwestern suburb of Detroit) at nearly 30%. The Detroit metropolitan area of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties is home to the largest concentration of Arab Americans (403,445) followed by Los Angeles (308,295), New York (230,899), Chicago (176,208), and Washington D.C. (168,208). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_American

I think the more intriguing question would be... What would you do if you found out that Jonny didn't actually like Chris (anymore). :|

ARABIC Personally I'd love to learn it just so I can eavesdrop on people's conversations around here. edit: By "around here", I'm referring to where I live, not coldplaying.com. Just wanted to clarify.
