So, I'm considering RADIOHEAD
I've never really listened to their music before. I've avoided it, although I'm not sure why. Seeing random talk on the forum about Radiohead has piqued my interest. As far as my "typical" taste in music, I'll put up with pretty much anything except country. I usually listen to classic rock and radio stations that play music from 70s-90s, and Coldplay (*gasp!* blasphemy, I just mentioned Coldplay in the lounge). Yesterday I watched this little 40-minute show which was a hodgepodge of some of Radiohead's live performances from TV appearances, mostly 'Later with Jools Holland'. Plus a few weeks ago I saw a video of a live performance of House of Cards. My initial reaction is that they seem to be an amazing live band. So, I'd like some input here. If I start listening to them, I'd have a lot of catching up to do since it looks like there are 7 LPs. And I'm old school so that means I'd go out and buy the CDs. Should I? Or should I not even bother? If I do, should I start at the beginning or go with the most recent stuff and work my way back? For those of you who listen, what are your favorite LPs/songs? I'm going to be a sponge here, so let me know what you think, good or bad. And after your input, let me know how much of a fan you are on a scale of 1 to 10: 1 being "Radiohead sucks and I hope they rot", and 10 being "they are the best band in the world if I ever met Thom Yorke I would curl up into a ball and die of sheer happiness." GO.

Haven't watched it yet, but I will in a few weeks. Hey did you see your buddy Sheldon Cooper won a Golden Globe too?

 Yeah I saw that. :freak: I think it should just be 2 Ls though so it's all one "word", imo. Maybe I should suggest that?

this makes me want to start a "have you been pulled over before and if so describe it" thread

I have a court date in South Carolina
I thought going to court was an option? If you acknowledge you were speeding, just pay the fine and that's it. If you want to fight the ticket, you can go to court. At least that's the way it is in Michigan. Or, that's what happened when I got pulled over for going 51 in a 35, anyway. It wasn't fair though, because it was one lane and the crusty old lady in front of me was barely going 20 so when we were stopped at the light I got on the right and then blazed past her in my (at the time) dinky little Prizm to get past her and turns out there was a cop just camping there and so he pulled me over and it was 4:59pm so he was just trying to get a ticket in before heading home for the day. Mmmmph. ^ Nice run-on sentence there, huh? Really though Nick, I didn't think it was a requirement to go to court unless your intent is to fight the ticket?

Yeah at first I thought he was just draping another sweater over his shoulder, then I realized it was the same fabric so it must be the hood. He probably did that so a crazy fan couldn't yank his hood from behind like, "come back here nnaaaoooooooowwwww!!!"

Here you go... and I have to give credit to Jason, they came from his camera, and I just cropped them appropriately. I predict the ones with Chris also in the picture will probably end up in the Chris and Jonny thread and/or the LOLdplay thread  In this one, it appears that Chris was "discretely" talking to the guy that got engaged during the concert. The girl was off somewhere to the right, I think. Cropped myself out because I had a cheesy smile, the kind where I scrunch my nose, trust me it just didn't look good  These are similar, but you can choose which one you like best :nice: So, not very exciting I know, but it's something. Hope you like them.

ColdplayingTV. (now online - channel link, videos in first post & YouTube)
Just watched it... love it! I really like the format too, not sure I know how to explain exactly why, but I just do. :nice: Oh yeah, and of course I like the "Willuv"! :awesome: I'd like to possibly provide some input for Wednesday's rumor/etc. show, but I agree the timing for Skype probably won't be great for me, I'm guessing I'll be at work or something. Do I just send a message if I have some info for Wednesday? (Not saying I do, but just in case.) And also for the following Saturday show, should I just send a message if I have any possible info?

When do you think LP5 will come out?
For the longest time I was thinking June, but now with them doing all of these festivals, I don't think so. Festivals and "promotion time" would conflict with each other. I think they'll end up introducing material at the festivals, and then releasing it in... I'll say August.

Girls, engagement rings, do you care about the size?
That's splendid and all, but it won't last very long in comparison :| A ring is a symbol of eternal love. Foxes die. And pee and poop. And maybe bite. So you want someone to think of love with you as death and excrement?

Spanish Rain on LP5...
Indeed. I mean, when oodles of people say, "hey, it sounds like ---" while they are listening to it the first time during a live performance, there is no way it is going to be officially released. Let me put it this way... IF IT ENDS UP BEING RELEASED ON LP5 OR EVEN A B-SIDE, I'LL EAT MY HAT. AND YOU ALL CAN VOTE ON WHAT KIND OF HAT I SHOULD EAT.

Yes, that's her. :nice: She definitely takes after daddy! The blue things on her ears were headphones for noise protection, I saw Marianne put them on her. When the show ended and we were leaving I walked past their row, and she was totally asleep just sprawled out on mum's lap. SO. FRICKIN. ADORABLE! :bomb:
