  3. I like how this is the first time I'm hearing about this! I'm going to be a bit "blah" from the flight and the train, but I might be able to refresh myself in enough time for 6:30.
  4. We won't know for sure until late Saturday, but people are guessing it may be this http://www.royalcourtliverpool.co.uk/
  5. At first I was like why the eff did you put frosting on the whole thing, you need to see the gingerbread. And then I looked at the rest of the pictures and I thought, "oooohhhhhhhhh, that's frickin' awesome!" So, did you use LifeSavers and licorice for the numbers?
  6. He sure knows how to pose for the camera! :nice: BTW, I think I saw his future wife at the store today. Wish I had my camera with me so I could take a picture.

  9. ^ It's funny, I didn't even know when they were taking the picture, because I just had tall people in front of me so I had no clue. I thought they were still organizing everyone, but then all of a sudden, "okay, we're done!"
  10. I'm going to send mine later today. I'll probably do expedited delivery so it gets there on time. I'll PM my elf when it is officially on its way. :nice:
  11. ^ I'm the one way on the left in the back. Behind everyone. However if you have Superman powers, you can see me. Don't I look awesome? :awesome: BTW, I love Debs' pose in the second one. :nice:

  13. I'm a "light" user, and I refuse to add random people that I don't know (I usually get a couple of those requests each month, and I'm like 'who the eff is this person').
  14. Well, I'm just mostly concerned with Saturday/Sunday/Monday. I'm taking the train from London to Liverpool on Saturday, so hopefully the tracks will be clear enough by then. But even if there is a delay, I should be okay... as long as I'm in Liverpool by Sunday morning. And I'm planning to take a train from Liverpool to Newcastle early Monday morning, that's the more "critical" one since there is less time to negotiate with if there are delays. I haven't yet booked that train though, not sure which time I want to take yet: early, or super early. * wonders if I should buy travel insurance *
  15. ^ Yes. And the bridge/road to Canada from Port Huron (Michigan) is closed to traffic (with the exception of local residents). So all of those commercial semi-trucks have to detour south and go through Detroit to take the bridge to Canada there (to Sarnia). I'm sure all those truck drivers are less than pleased with that little detour!
  16. :surprised: How on earth did those arrive still pretty and all in one piece?!?

  21. Hundreds trapped on highway in Canada, rescue efforts underway SARNIA, ONTARIO (WXYZ) - A driver who is among hundreds trapped on Highway 402 near the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia tells Action News he's been stuck for more than 24 hours. Illya Kornobis says he's never seen anything like it. He has been trapped on the highway along with hundreds of people who were forced to spend a frigid night trapped on a stretch of highway near the Blue Water Bridge. Rescue efforts are now underway after being hampered by blizzard conditions. Heavy snow and zero visibility has made travel impossible in that area. Kornobis says he's been stuck on the highway since 10:00 a.m. Monday. "It’s been a crazy over 24 hours… It’s been pretty crazy but I’m now bunking with a truck driver behind me so I’m nice and warm so that’s great," Kornobis told Action News. "I’ve driven on this road a number of times, and I’ve never seen this happen. The snow just kept coming and the roads were icy and everything just came to a standstill." Kornobis says helicopters have been brought in to remove people, families and the elderly. "They did bring us food last night around 9:00 p.m. We got a sandwich and a pop. So at least we got some food," says Kornobis. The Canadian government has declared eastbound 402 in Sarnia a National Disaster area. That stretch of highway is located five miles east of the bridge. The only traffic allowed to cross the Blue Water Bridge at this time are vehicles headed to the immediate Sarnia area. http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/hundreds-trapped-on-sarnia-freeway%2C-rescue-efforts-underway
  22. ^ :nice: Oh, and another thing I learned today. For some reason I get upset when I see people driving the same kind of car as me, and they have no clue how to drive it in the winter. LEARN HOW TO PROPERLY DRIVE A REAR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE BEFORE YOU BUY IT. * steps off soapbox *
