  1. LOLOLOLOLOL I doubt it though, since Chris has such a man-crush on Obama.
  2. ^ True, I guess I forgot that Paradise is already on the radio, since I don't listen to the radio as much as I used to. I would understand a radio still working since it's just a signal, but I would think the internal CD player (assuming it was burned to a CD) would be totally wrecked at that point. A plugged-in mp3 would have flown elsewhere. So I guess we just have to assume it was playing on the radio, and the first thing she thought to do after being in the awful wreck and all of the follow-up associated with the wreck (since she indicated the crash happened essentially a couple hours earlier) was to get on the computer and write the Oracle. Call me a cynic, but the story just seems a little far-fetched. Sorry.
  3. Hmmm, interesting. I would think that whatever was playing the music wouldn't be working after the car flipped several times and landed upside down. :| Hmmm.
  4. Yes, they can leave EMI after LP5. At first I thought they already essentially made that decision last year. But now looking at the article, I'm not sure if that's what they really did. I thought they signed with Universal for future LPs instead of EMI, but what they did was sign with Universal for future songwriting instead of BMG. So now I'm not so sure they've really left. And I thought the video was amusing, no hate here.
  5. I think that pretty much proves the last bullet point of my review above.
  6. After a few listens I have gathered my thoughts, so here's my review:
  7. Ummm, I actually really like it. :awesome: I was a bit worried seeing pictures during the past week of them in the elephant costumes, but now I'm glad they scrapped the other video for this! I think the ending (at the concert) was really out of place though, so overall I gave it an 8. The beginning of the video is a bit ironic considering the timing of what just happened in Ohio though. :anxious:
  8. I'm excited to see them on SNL, however I've been disappointed overall with SNL performances lately (this season and last season, at least). Not anything on the artsists' end, there's just something biffed with the sound quality on the broadcast. It's like the lead vocal mic is turned up way too high so it's not balanced with the music at all. It's comparable to singing/breathing with a little music in the background, if that makes any sense. Watch last season's Lady Gaga performance and you'll see what I mean. The mic is up so loud you can hear her breathing/panting more than the music almost.
  9. Believe it or not, it's actually a real word. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/discombobulated
  10. Congrats Dianne! :awesome: Did you just want to turn your head really quick and give him a smooch on his cheek? :dazzled:
  11. Listened all the way through once. Have lots of thoughts running through my brain. Will compose them in a full review after I've listened to it a couple more times.
  12. :awesome: In regard to Ed's comments on the outside gigs, I think the "diluted" sound issue applies only to open spaces similar to what are used for festivals. Personally I think outside "shed" gigs (amphitheater-style with the stage and first half of seating covered) have much better sound than indoor stadiums/arenas (arenas seem too echoey and the sound just gets blurred together). Although smaller indoor venues might be better. So in terms of the Detroit area (although given past history they probably won't come here): DTE Energy Music Theater ("shed") >>>>>> Palace of Auburn Hills (arena). Not sure how that would compare with the Fox Theater though, it's a relatively small indoor venue that I think seats about 5,000. please come to Detroit pretty pretty please with a cherry on top
  13. Wait for the official release. The leak file has poo for bass. Listen to a couple of the songs as they were officially posted on coldplay.com versus the leak file; there's a big difference in the bass.
  14. A&B C Or maybe the first one is A&C and the last one is B, or B&C and A in my comparison. I dunno. Oh yeah and this was the original direction of things back in early 2010
  15. Must have leaked while I was sleeping, now I'm at work. Will have to wait half a day before I listen to it. (Although I'm not expecting to be blown away or anything at this point.) I remember in one of the R42 blogs there was a picture with setlists for 3 different "albums". Setlist A = Brilliant LP5 option 1, Setlist B = Brilliant LP5 option 2, and Setlist C = MX. :disappointed: Hey Mike, this one's for you because I know you'll absolutely love it. :|
  16. Am I missing something? From what I'm seeing the site record was June 2, 2009, not during the LP4 release. :uhoh:
  17. Type "Princess of China" in YouTube and sort by upload date.
  18. I completely agree. But don't tell my husband I said that (he probably has his on his head right now).
  19. you speak da truth
  20. lololololololol I haven't listened to it yet. :| I was babysitting the leak thread for an hour and then I go away and PoC happens WTFFF
  21. And they're just asking for an inbox full of PM's since they're not supposed to post the links here anyway.
