I just went on the site and had Windows Media Player pop up and try to access an avi file or something from that .biz site. I'm running AVG and had no "Threat Detected" popup though. I'm from Illinois, USA, where are those who aren't having problems from?

Yeah I was thinking Lovers in Japan would be a great one too, but maybe that's because we already know that it sounds awesome acoustic haha I think it would be cool for them to bring back Warning Sign, and an acoustic version of Chinese Sleep Chant would be neat

Does anyone know what effects Jonny uses during the beginning of LiT live and during the solo of LiJ live as he is tremelo picking? I want to try and get that sound but I know very little about pedal effects (only own a crybaby) so I don't know where to start. Thanks!

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a time when Coldplay unexpectedly changed their setlist in the middle of a concert (I'm not talking about permanent changes, like Billie Jean from the VLV tour). For example, I saw Tom Petty two weekends ago and again last weekend, and the second weekend the guitarist got sick about 3/4 of the way through the setlist. Right after ending the song, TP said "Goodnight everyone" and I was confused because I was execting a half an hour more. They ended up coming on 10 minutes later, explaining the situation, then played one more song from the regular setlist and two from the planned encore, with no actual "encore" afterwards. I guess Parachutes before Yellow from the Latin American tour would maybe count, any others?

Yeah, the echoes did make them slightly more convincing at first, but their See You Soon cover (a new video) and The Scientist 'Live Snippet' are both fake and have the same echo too, so I don't think the echo really says much.

I just listened to that "The Scientist 'Live Snippet'" and I'm doubting them even more. This video has the same echo and soundcheck-ish acoustics, but I've never ever heard them play The Scientist in that key.

@Juanma8 I gotta give it to you, the acoustics of the "new songs" do seem soundcheck-ish. But I just find it weird that the guy with an almost spot-on CM impersonation would end up with these only to post them on youtube. But not gonna lie, I would love to be wrong about this hahaha

okay, i just followed all the links that fsa gave in the "another new song" thread: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4241001&postcount=24 and these so called "demos" and "leaks" are NOT REAL i think if everyone took the time to follow fsa's links there would be no more debate on this but if an explanation is needed... 1) the first link ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5QOQ4ND0 ) is a version of "fix you" recorded by the same person doing "plan b" "220 miles up" and "i sent a satellite". listen to it, and at the 1:42 mark you will hear him sing, "and i will try to fix you, jimbob150-triple 5". that pretty much discredits the authenticity of all of these "demos". unless of course jimbob and chris are pals or something. but there's more... 2) the second link ( http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:ZQB_QB0orhYJ:www.youtube.com/user/jimbob150555+jimbob150555+coldplay&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk ) goes to jimbob's youtube page before it was suspended, where he mentions his fix you cover. 3) the third link ( http://www.youtube.com/user/rouz7 ) takes you to a youtube account page on which our buddy jimbob posted a comment: "Hey, you sent me a message about Coldplay Parachutes song, it was actually made by myself. If your interested in more songs like that then yes - I cover Colplay proffessionally, this is my other account, feel free to see live demo's on my page, if your interested in proffessional sounding covers I can always email them to you, Thanks, Jon " plus we find out here that jimbob's name is "Jon", and that how TheColdplayUnheard has identfied himself. 4) the fourth link directs to his twitter account which appears to have been deleted since it was posted 5) the last link ( http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=063aacbf9f718c2c&hl=en ) connects the rest of the dots dealing with "TheColdplayUnheard". on june 7, 2010 (the day that "plan b" was "leaked" and then removed by EMI), our great friend jimbob posted a question on the youtube help forum. i recommend reading it yourself, but basically his account got suspended because he received his 3rd copyright claim strike. and what a coincidence--the copyright claim was made by EMI Music. (btw fsa deserves credit for all of the above) now if all that doesn't convince everyone that these aren't authentic coldplay demos/leaks/songs, then... gahhh.... i don't know... lol plus, take a look at TheColdplayUnheard's newest videos -- an "alternate studio version" of amsterdam that is just jimbob's cover backed by a weird drumbeat. then there's an acoustic (but barely audible) version of see you soon, that is claimed to have been played live in london in 2010. this guy is just a youtuber with a really good chris martin impersonation looking for some attention, and he seems to have succeeded in finding that attention. i mean, he did fool several hardcore coldplay fans.

i don't think the fact that he mentions poppyfields makes it any more convincing, i mean if i was a good chris martin impersonator i could make a reference to white shadows, but that wouldn't make it more real. and i think whoever did them tried too hard to base them off of the "solar system" thing ("220 miles up", "i sent a satellite", and the mention of "planet earth" in "plan b"). i mean, it wasn't mentioned in the last two roadie blogs, so how do we know what kind of influence it's really having? back in its early stages, viva was supposed to have a heavy hispanic influence, and out of all the demos we got, not one seems to have a noticeable hispanic influence. but all three of the new 'leaks' are related to the space theme.

i think it could still be a possibility; i know that the coldplaying.com article says: maybe MTV had a bad source or something and corrected itself?

Experiment Idea: Somebody here should do their best Chris Martin impersonation on the piano, upload it, and see if they take it down. That would discredit the "removal"="legit" argument haha

MTV World Stage Does anyone know when they will replay Coldplay on MTV World Stage? I couldn't watch it in the states, but I'm spending the summer in Costa Rica so it would be really cool to catch them on TV here. Thanks!

yeah, B.o.B. is good and everything, and i'm okay with people sampling other tracks as long as they put a new spin on the original song. but the whole song meaning is pretty much a ripoff of the original version, and especially of jay-z's verse in lost+ "well, this is the world that we live in, one minute you the hero, the next you the villain" kinda reminds me... "with the same sword they knight you, they gon' good-night you" (btw that line is genius lol)

Does anyone have any guesses as to when it would start and what venues they would play? I'm going to be in Spain from January 2011 to May 2011, and I would do anything to see them over there haha

The news post about Coldplaying denying Glee a song reminded me of this: At the end of the Season 4 Finale of Numb3rs (When Worlds Collide), they play Warning Sign. I was just wondering why they agreed to let Numb3rs use their song, but not Glee (besides the fact that Numb3rs is a very awesome show lol). The only reason why I can think is because the episode aired in mid-2008, so Warning Sign was already about 6 years old, but Glee probably wanted a Viva song. Any ideas?

I just had a dream with Coldplay in it, but it might be considered more of a bad dream. You see, I just moved to college this year, and I had a dream that they held a concert at my hometown's high school gym. So all of my friends got to go see them, but I didn't. When I heard about it, I rushed home, but at the exact moment I arrived, the Escapist began playing and everyone began to exit.
