Why would you not want to know an answer if you felt there was an obvious one that you had overlooked? What else do you deprive yourself of?

Prince William and Kate expecting a baby / 22-07 Duchess gives birth to baby boy
Don't blame the DJ's. They highlighted a flaw. They shouldn't have been able to get that information. I'm not surprised they've been suspended and they must feel awful but there were obviously not the correct procedures in place to deal with what happened. The receptionist wasn't in and so she was advised what information to give out which then led to what happened. If she's killed herself because of this she's obviously a fragile person and that's a massive shame and I feel so sorry for her. The DJ's, however, are not to blame. The system failed.

Possibly the dumbest question I've asked on here
Cheers girls, and yes, that was part of what I was talking about. And I feel less of an idiot now since it wasn't some obvious thing that I'd just missed out on. I can't imagine full stops going as you need it to know when a sentence ends, but the capital letter at the start can just be confusing if it makes it unclear of what kind of noun is found at the start of a sentence. I might try and start a revolution to banish it. It's a specific revolution I admit. I agree that it's likely to improve reading though. I do have a friend who doesn't like reading entirely capitalised text, but entirely lower case would be easier I feel as those are the letters that you first learn. You know, like before you turn up to school one day and they say 'You know that alphabet you know, abcdefg... Well it's rubbish, forget it all, it's ABCDEFG!'.

Possibly the dumbest question I've asked on here
But why do we (I'm sure some languages don't, but I'm talking of the ones that do) start a sentence with a capital letter? I've always done it without questioning and there is obviously a good reason for it, otherwise language would have evolved and stopped doing it but having spent the grand total of five minutes actually considering why, I'm unsure. I was just reading and came across a word which I was unsure as to whether it began with a capitalised letter because it was at the start of the sentence or because it was a proper noun. The word in question was God. Naturally god can be a proper noun or simply a noun depending on the subjectivity of the writer. At this point I am unaware of the intent of the writer. This then got me thinking as to why we have a capital at the start of the sentence. I figured that the only two reasons for it could be that it lets you know when you are reading the beginning of a sentence, this way you know you are not missing some of the information. The other thing was that sometimes a full stop can be used in a different way than to signify the end of a sentence, such as after a word which has been shortened, such as etc. These two examples pose their own problems, however, in that with regards to the start of a sentence and ensuring you aren't missing the start of a piece of text, surely it would only be desired to have a capital letter right at the start of a piece of writing, otherwise you could be missing full sentences at the beginning of the text. Both of the examples open up the possibility of confusion as listed in my second paragraph. The second problem (shortened words) could be easily remedied by taking the time to write words in full, or adopting shortened words into normal vocabulary enough to get rid of the full stop proceeding them as they are a word in their own right. Not sure how much of that makes sense, and I'm not particularly good with language so I'm sure I've taken a very blinkered view on this and therefore missed an obvious answer but I'm willing to put the question in the opening paragraph to you and take the ridicule as I would like to know the answer.

Why does homophobia exist?
It will be interesting indeed. Eventually you'd imagine it'd be the case that gay songs would be in the charts but gay pop songs would need to be subtle. Straight sex in pop songs is supposed to be subtle though, I guess, and isn't always, but I imagine if it wanted to then pop music could play a big part in pushing gay rights by sensitively bringing homosexuality into the minds of people who listen to the music. I mean, female pop musicians have been kissing other female pop musicians for a while now so perhaps we are moving towards something more on the grounds of a song... Hang on, I kissed a girl and I liked it. There's a gay song. (money can be made on homosexuality, so pop music won't pass up the chance to cash in).

What annoyed you today?
I imagine this is why I didn't get into that stuff. The very basics just didn't appeal to me when I was younger. I took it all for granted and it seemed pointless to learn about things that I was far too easy to give the answer 'because it just does'. I was more interested in writing stories and maths as a kid. Even though maths is scientific it didn't appear so at that level, and by the time it got into the heavier stuff I was more content being the class clown. Didn't really learn an awful lot that I was forced to learn towards the middle of high school but had a natural ability to blag enough to get to uni etc. Then after dropping out of uni my learning began again when I was able to pick what I wanted to learn about. Much better. Mainly philosophy and anti-theism.

Why does homophobia exist?
Trust me, it aint gay. Just because the Village People sing about it doesn't mean it is... apart from the Navy. Anyway, it's all based on Christian principles.

What annoyed you today?
Chemistry seems like such a cool subject. I know very little about (or rather 'of') it though. Its annoying, Science amazes me so much these days but I had no interest when I was younger and didn't have the intelligence to pursue it anyway. Wish things had worked out differently with that. There's another thing that has annoyed me today.

Why does homophobia exist?
Well the YMCA isn't actually gay, but if it was it could be a metaphor for being careful when turning your back.

What are you reading right now?
I currently have 3 on the go. Two listening to, and one physically reading. One of the ones I'm listening to is only two hours long so really I've only two on the go. I normally have one on the go that I read/listen to quite fast, then a physical copy that takes me a while to get through. Listening to - Common Sense by Thomas Paine (1 hour left) and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (6 hours left). Reading - How The Dead Live by Will Self. I have also just had You Can't Read This Book by Nick Cohen (a book on freedom of speech) come through the post today, and this morning I ordered half The Sky - Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.

How are you gonna fake your death then? Maybe fake her death too so that everybody thinks you've killed yourselves together. Then when you reveal you are both still alive say 'oh god no, I don't even know that girl and she's kind of annoying at times, why would I enter into a suicide pact with her?...' That might break the ice on bringing up the subject of her annoyingness.

Why does homophobia exist?
I was just about to say that, though technically it's just a place where guys can 'hang out with all the boys' and 'find many ways to have a good time'. Aint nothing gay about that...

Why does homophobia exist?
I say you should do as you wish providing it doesn't harm anybody else. And if your sexuality is harming the rest of your life because other people can't accept it, I see no reason why you shouldn't bring it to the forefront to break down barriers. Heterosexual sexuality is everywhere. We're just more used to it. Majority of advertising is sex obsessed, straight people walk around holding hands and sometimes more, when straight men are together they all too often speak about sex, when straight women are together I presume there isn't a ban on sex discussions. We are just used to this status quo, that is all. It would be weird if there wasn't a very noticeable gay scene given how big sex is.
