  1. Perfect. What do we do?
  2. Yeah, its kind of scary how much you are affected by your society/relationships. If you were born in a different place or to different people (and I mean this taking genetics out of it, simply nurture) or at a different point of time you could believe in what the future and indeed the past believed to be ridiculous. I know for a fact that there will be things that I believe truly that will turn out to be rubbish. I also know that I'll hold two opinions that I've never measured which contradict each other. You find them all the time and realign your opinion on things. It's usually in terms of morals given that that spans such a huge section.
  3. Why not give it to a country who can afford?
  4. Is there any eccentric that doesn't touch kids?
  5. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9Dqf78JY-o]Pluxus - Transient - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d00YW_QHClI]Pluxus-Perm - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5CwBiO59aY]Pluxus-Bootstrap - YouTube[/ame]
  6. Well good, now that's been clarified we can all move on. Did anybody used to be homophobic, or did they used to dispute homosexualities existence but now feel differently about the matter? I'm not talking about because of this thread, of course, but just at any point in their life.
  7. Just to reiterate, Pluxus are the best of all of them.
  8. What were they banned for in the first place? If someone was banned for a reason and keeps returning back then I can understand them being banned again. I imagine the best thing would be a cool off period where they are forced to take a break from the forum without making alias'. Then they can come back after a certain amount of time on a probation style thing. It's coming back when you are banned is likely to not endear you with the people who chose to ban you. It all depends what the banning was for I guess.
  9. The issue is that people are standing in the way of equality so sometimes it's not easy to react to some extent negatively when people say things about homosexuals and marriage which are obviously not true. Whilst their belief stems from oppression from religion it's almost impossible to read things where people push back against equality without taking a hard stance and saying 'NO, that isn't right'. Whether intended or not some things that are said on gay marriage are deeply dangerous when it leads to perpetuating the resistance against what will eventually become a great act of equality. People have different methods, of course, but I'm not of the opinion that we should just say 'oh, well because it's religious belief then it's more understandable and we should leave people to it'. I can understanding the questioning of the methods used in terms of actually having a positive impact on somebody and convincing them to change their mind, though.
  10. My bands first jam. Improvised so there's no structure as we didn't know where we were going with it. Criticism welcome. We'd like to go for a Tame Impala meets Deerhunter kind of thing. Oh, and we need a name. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgzmZytqxEo&feature=g-upl]Wildest Dreams - YouTube[/ame]
  11. The Hives and Pluxus are Swedish bands I like. Heard of a band called This Is Head too, though I wouldn't say I like them as I've only heard a remix of one of their songs that I like. They might be awful.
  12. Because Coldplay are shit, inoffensive and wishy washy.
  13. He sure 'aint rocking it. Who's that in your avatar? She looks familiar.
  14. Disparate Youth by Santigold, Apocalypse Dreams by Tame Impala and Gun-Shy were probably my favourite this year.
  15. Listening to them now I'd say Grizzly Bear meets Coldplay. Decent, if a little wishy washy. Definitely something to explore.
  16. Go hit Solitude is Bliss, Half Full Glass of Wine, It is Not Meant to Be and Forty One Mosquito's Flying in Formation. Then listen to Innerspeaker in full. Then burn Lonerism.
  17. Anyone been watching the new series? Thought it was going to be crap but it's still pretty good. Not at its best but still well worth a watch.
  18. Was it any good? Is it on any websites?
  19. You just need the right Joy Division songs to listen to. You should request a playlist in this thread: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76100 Unless you've heard a lot and really dislike it, of course.
  20. Love the first album and EP. Don't like the new album. There's a few decent tracks but compared to the other two it's too hit and miss and really self indulgent. It's like the cheesy bits from Beatles and Flaming Lips. Hope he comes back with a more guitar based collection next time around.
  21. Has he still got that awful haircut? As much as I don't care about such things I wish he didn't have that haircut. Looks like he's having a breakdown.
