How is everyone?

The Coldplaying Pub.
It annoys me when I turn the tv on and parliament is filled with rapturous laughing as all parties mock each other and make jokes at others expenses. If they were genuine in their dislike for their opponents and truly cared about the supposed negligence of them which is affecting the public, they would be much closer to tears. Their laughing and mockery only serves to highlight their fracture from society and the pleasant bubble they all live in.

It must be so frustrating. I get annoyed in my country but I'm glad we are as far as we are. Everyone must keep pushing, though.

The Coldplaying Pub.
Too early for Christmas. Not as in you aren't allowed to feel Christmas'y, just that I don't feel Christmas'y yet and won't do for a while. No choice in the matter.

I can't spend my time looking at actors or actresses. Hamster pics and social interaction is more important.

If it wasn't for that hamster, I'd be out of this thread.

Mixtape Exchange #16 [Mixtapes due 25/11]
Overall there some quite interesting things in here (really intrigued by 2,3,11 and 6, just because it is so weird), but for the next time I’d just wish for some fewer acoustic guitars :D But still a big thank you for every bit of time and effort you put in here, the first good Christmas present this year :) Hello! I was your mixtape partner. Glad you found a few things of interest. I never expect the person to like every song as I put a few different things in. You described the songs well, I thought. Tracklist: 1, Deep Blue Day - Brian Eno 2, I Feel Just Like A Child - Devendra Banhart 3, Prototype (Live) - Tame Impala (cover of Outkast) 4, Turn Me On (Live) - CocoRosie (cover of Kevin Lyttle) 5, Hyper Oz - Chelsea Wolfe 6, Why, Without You - Daniel Johnston 7, Tonight A Knife - Bill Ryder-Jones 8, The Red Wing - Fuck Buttons 9, Evil Will Prevail - The Flaming Lips 10, Gimme Some Truth - John Lennon 11, Different Pulses - Asaf Avidan 12, Quicksand - David Bowie 13, Epitaph - Badly Drawn Boy There was a very loose theme in the playlist. It was an attempt at organising the songs into a lifetime. It begins with the first moments of life after the original pain of birth [track one]. Then moving on to childhood [two] was the hardest section to find songs for and so I only stuck with one track that I really wanted in. After this we develop and interest in sex [three and four], before moving into the loneliness [five] of the first love you lose (and the possible over-reaction after it) [six]. Then you have the sobering of your over-reaction and acceptance that love can end [seven]. Moving on is then the determination to move on and hit your adolescence hard, letting the world see who you are, though lacking subtlety [eight]. Taking more notice of the world around you, you realise that so much of it is corrupt and it seems impossible to fight against all of that [nine], but a resurgence in a belief in what is right leads you to demand answers and try to challenge the status quo [ten]. (Looking back I put tracks eleven and twelve the wrong way around as it should be...) Nihilism often follows as you become aware of all the meaningless things that happen and that are held up as important (along with various other reasons [twelve]. Next sees further maturity and an appreciation of the world around you which is how you want it [eleven], followed by a desire to be around those who you love and a hopefulness regarding their well being [thirteen]. So, er, yeah. I kinda tried to have a theme. Not sure how much it worked, and it certainly wasn't something that could have been guessed. Lounge games
And they all add up. Just trying to make the board smoother and less frustrating, that's all. SORRY
