like you said i think you might be better off going somewhere else. they usually have small cake shops. most bakerys do nice cakes too. you just have to have a little search hey are you around for all tonight now? i'll stop playing cod and come talk if you aren't gonna disappear :P

there is some good english cake with clotted cream but it doesn't have specific shops. just go in random nice ones and they will have them. there are lots of nice cake shops around. or toad in the hole. you should get the ingredients for toad in the hole. omg black pudding! look up black pudding on google :\ (none of my suggestions are classy on purpose btw because i have no idea what gifts you should get.

you should be able to buy them in a supermarket like tesco. you could get him a cornish pasty too (originally from cornwall) lancashire cheese is quite nice. i can't think of any more specifically english foods!
