  1. I just found myself singing to myself to the tune of "In My Place": Tell me please, please, please Oh tell me the date please, please, please, Oh tell me the date now, now, now Oh please - now.... I'm getting really nervous as I'm travelling all day Wednesday - need to come up with a Plan B....
  2. ^ Is it just me or does Guy look really thin? I hope he's OK.
  3. I am! Flying via Washington, DC on Wednesday and arriving in London early Thursday morning. I'm sort of hoping that the trip will be on the Friday so I can catch up on sleep on Thursday and not be too jet-lagged!
  4. We are practically neighbors - I'm in Rochester. I'm flying out of Rochester to Washington, DC and then to Heathrow. $933 r/t on United. Check it out, might save you a long bus trip.
  5. I don't have a partner yet but have reached out to a friend of mine who is working just outside London. If she can't make it I'll definitely offer the extra ticket up. I should know by midday Monday. Any recommendations on where to stay would be appreciated. I grabbed a room at a Heathrow hotel so I could be sure I had one, but a place nearer to central London would be preferable. Thanks for any advice!
  6. Holy cow. I really should play the lottery today.
  7. Yes, I got mine around 11:50 Eastern Time US. I got one standard ticket to the Liverpool show.
  8. Just got my Email notification. LIVERPOOL. Not VIP but that's OK!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! :o
  9. Speaking as someone who's been trying to learn Coldplay songs on piano for the past year or so, I can tell you that for some songs that's true but for others, no! I've been working for a couple of months trying to learn "Glass of Water" and find the chords, their progression, and the tempo changes quite difficult. Of course I'm not a professional (or even really good) piano player so that could have something to do with it. :laugh3: I've wondered if it's because Chris doesn't read music, he just plays and makes up the chords from there.
  10. I'll try again: Coldplay's dreamy lyrics and ethereal melodies have enabled them to become the Keepers of the Portal to the Next Dimension. Chris: That will be 75 pence toll, mate. Will: Cash. Guy: Now. Jonny: We also accept cake.
  11. Let me try: Will: One of Guy's Berrygirls left a puddle on the floor. Chris: HEY! Come back here and clean this up! It might stain our white shoes! Jonny: They don't know -- it was actually one of my Jonnygirls. :)
  12. Good night, girls. :wink3:
  13. I am feeling rather grieved as it appears I may never get my Chrissy Clone. I'll just have to look at this instead. Sigh. Those eyes.
  14. Chris says "Boo!" Happy Halloween! (and he's wearing my keeper jacket!)
  15. A Little Peeved with Gwyneth I'm a bit peeved with Gwyneth. She was interviewed again on GAC's "On the Streets" show last night. They showed the "Country Strong" video in full and she talked a good bit about her character, Kelly Cantor. Said that as she was preparing for the role (a down and out country singer) she called Robert Downey, Jr. to find out about the life of an addict. They must be really good friends after doing the Iron Man movies. Why I'm peeved is that she went into rhapsodies about the song "Me and Tennessee" on which she duets with Tim McGraw, who plays her husband/manager in the movie. She went on about how "wonderful" and "heartbreaking" the song is -- but did not mention that Chris wrote it. Maybe that fits in with her not talking much about her marriage, but it seems that she could've given him some props -- Saying "The song's called 'Me and Tennessee' and my husband Chris wrote it" isn't exactly like talking about their private life. I'll get over it, I'm sure. :)
  16. I can see that, too! Wouldn't it be great if the band used this as entrance music on the next tour?
  17. Gwyneth is on Great American Country (GAC) this weekend being interviewed as part of their Top 20 Countdown show. According to the interview we can expect to see quite a bit of her as the promo for "Country Strong" heats up. She talked about how terrifying it was for her to shoot the concert footage of the movie. Interviewer said something to the effect of "You got a taste of what your husband Chris goes through" and Gwyneth said "Yes, but these people were being paid to hear me sing and for him it's quite the opposite!" She said that she really works to be the best wife and mother she can be. And at the end when asked what is coming up she said something like "I don't know, maybe I'll have another baby!" :shocked2: *running down to DVR the rerun of the interview*
  18. Sorry, all I can say is that the wet naked soapy discussion we started Friday really made an impression on me. And now could we get busy with our Chrissy cloning? After that dream encounter I really really really need my Chris clone. Really. Why? Um... I need him to clean my gutters. Yeah, it's fall and my gutters need cleaning, that's why I need Chrissy. Srsly. :wink3:
  19. So while some of you had insomnia I slept last night and dreamed that all 4 of the guys were in some sort of commercial for shower gel or something and were all half naked, wet, and soapy. And then in the dream I had an [ahem] encounter with Chris Martin. I woke up going "Whoooo! Now THAT was a dream!" And it is all the fault of you other fangirls on this thread.
  20. Gwyneth is going to be on Great American Country (GAC-TV) this week in their "On the Streets" show. Friday night they showed a snip of the "Country Strong" video. Here's the link for times: http://www.gactv.com/gac/shows_str/episode/0,,GAC_26158_72154,00.html See, sometimes it's good to have a country fan around... :laugh3:
  21. Thank you for the mental image. That's great. Now how am I supposed to get any work done today? :stunned:
  22. When you're talking about statistics but can't help smiling everytime you say "X and Y".
  23. High Speed. How could this song not be nominated for a Grammy?
  24. Here it is. It was from the Los Angeles concert (Carson Center) last year. Heart is at about 1:44. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzfb9mq9LKc]YouTube - Coldplay - Lovers in Japan - Home Depot Center, Carson - July 18, 2009[/ame] I had also read that he made the heart for Gwyneth but someone responding to the video on YouTube said that it was she and her friends who flashed a heart and Chris was doing it for them.
  25. Can't believe nobody knew the wrong answer to the previous question! What does Will like on his hamburgers? Boss Sauce, of course! Kicking the game back into play.... Who is Bez?
