I actually think CiL is a good pop song ... not your typical pop song, but it's a lot more developed of a product that the BSpears stuff. Of course, the industry seems to be over BSpears as a viable music artist, so comparisons to her may not longer be viable. I also want to hear Christina Aguilera's album now ... it's not my type of music, but "The Voice Within" and "Beautiful" have been worthy of note.

I admit ... I like the Beyonce video :P Hey, I'm hetero ... why not? Beyonce's milkshake brings me to the yard.

I ranked it sixth in my pretentious thread/list, but that might change soon. each successive time i've listened to it, subtleties keep popping out. upon the initial listening, the changes as you progress through the album are striking, and it's only after that listening that you can think about the hows of those changes. but who cares about the phraseology. it's just good.

Is there anything anybody can recommend to me (if your a student, maybe the textbook you're using for your course) that can provide some insight?

i've listened to think tank thrice in the last week. i only got turned on to it then. it's been a great find, as has muse. i've listened to most of blur's stuff through time, never really been a great fan. this album is really good though and i think i'll pay it often into the future. g-g-g-gee unit.
