I'm not sure. It sounds like what you say doesn't matter; that she's just too bashful and shy to engage in normal conversation. That sucks, and unless you really like the girl this could just be a waste of your time. That said, if you really like her just ask her direct, open-ended questions which will force her to talk. If she says something like "Oh, I don't know" and acts too bashful, press her and say something like "No, really. I want to know. Come on." If she doesn't want to talk to you and doesn't want to get to know you more then it sounds like she might just be grubbing for attention and I would suggest you move on until she's ready to engage in normal interaction. Now the topic of this conversation doesn't really matter, although you are more likely to succeed if you hit on an interest of hers. More important than anything is probably to approach the conversation from the mindset that you're genuinely interested in learning as much about her as possible. With that in mind, the topic isn't important. All that's important is that she opens up about something. Music ... as her what she likes. Movies ... same thing. What does she think about the teacher? Does she thing the person sitting in front of you smells. Anything. Just talk.
