in all fairness, i'm not sure how you could put it better, either. maybe just say "i'm not a fan of the language" rather than "i don't speak ebonics." to some people, the way 'ebonics' is used there might seem like a denegrating term.
  2. sorry cdplayer ... i guess my post didn't help much. i got off on a rant. apologies. just ask her to do something with you. if she says yes, then you know she likes you. if she says no, she either doesn't like you or she's too shy to waste your time on. odds are that if she likes you then you're doing something right and some other girl will catch onto the uber-cool cdplayer vibe.
  3. if there's one thing i've learned in my 26 years of life, it's ... ... don't waste your time. if you're interested and you think she's interested, be more direct, don't waste time with games. you don't have to walk up to her and say straight out "i like you. do you like me?" but you can just talk to her a lot more, be sure to be around her a lot more. i'm surprised, talking to people after high school, how many time i should have done this. people like each other allthe time in high school, but you're at an age where you just aren't too sure about the opposite sex. just be direct. if worse comes to worse, always ask yourself this question: "if i was in her situation, would i mind if somebody came up an talked to me? if they were direct with me?" what's the worst that can happen? she doesn't like you, you were misreading her, and she rejects you. sounds bad? it isn't. it happens all the time, and you can just tell your boys the truth: you thought you liked her, but she didn't feel the same way. i guarantee you they have or will encounter the same situation at some point.

that does seem kind of racist to me, but i don't think that was your intent. i think it might be a little intolerant.

What is your single, favorite Coldplay lyric? I personally need to think about it, but I'd be interested in knowing yours. Well, honestly, I'm interested in that from a few of you. Others? Well, I don't really know you that well.
  10. Wow. $8 is really good. At the Tower Records I frequent, $10 is the best deal ... and that's usually just for older CDs. The new released are always $13.99 :(. Too bad Ah-nold an't do somehting about that!
  11. I voted Yellow, although this one was a lot closer than my vote for AROBTTH. If I was voting for value/second, I'd have voted for Parachutes.

  13. hopefully. hopefully the government will do something to discourage them. they make money hand over fist. i just wish cds weren't so expensive. if they were $10 instead fo $14-$18 i'd buy all the time. but they're not, so i don't.
  14. I really don't pay attention. I've never read a Coldplay review of interview. I've never seen anything on TV about them away from which I didn't change the channel. It's all about the he-said, she-said bullshit. :)

well, that's good that somebody your age is so active. have you thought about a sorority, maybe? given that you're 100 years old, it might be a good chance to meet people and get to go to all those cool fraternity parties.
  16. 2581 don't let it die
  17. Describe Lea: Lea is a super cool person who spends a ton of time studying and posting. She gets really gross pictures via email from friends. She's a cool IM partner. She's got a boyfriend who's going to get his ass-kicked by me when I meet him. She's French. She used to be in Noni's club. She smurfs smurfs. She like Madonna.

  24. I'm actually quite shocked, given the number of responses, that IMP hasn't gotten one vote.
