  1. For You - Coldplay
  2. Keane - Somewhere Only We Know
  3. Tyres are on cars. Arcade Fire have a song called 'Keep the Car Running'. Chris Martin admires Arcade Fire. Chris Martin is in Coldplay. Word: phone
  4. Zebra - Beach House
  5. Oasis vs Muse
  6. Green Day
  7. If the truth is, I miss you. Makoto Makoto, please do not mistake me.
  8. Ask for some money for... non-druggy things... WWYDI Coldplay broke up?
  9. From the sound of this, she doesn't seem to like Coldplay that much anymore. 'I'm afraid, for me, that writing and releasing a Christmas song puts you firmly in the 'pop' camp' makes it sound like it's a bad thing to release a Christmas song. AND RELEASE SOME EARLY MATERIAL, WOMAN! Awesome interview, though... I had no idea Safety EP remixes existed!
  10. Famous Old Painters. Lukas (I know we now have a version of it by Natalie Imbruglia, but she really didn't do the song justice). School. A studio version of Spanish Rain  Oh, and every early (i.e. Pre-Parachutes) song ever.
  11. Lotion is a cream of sorts. Cream is a band featuring Eric Clapton. Eric Clapton featured on The Beatles song 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', which was written by George Harrison. George Harrison also wrote the song 'Here Comes the Sun'. Coldplay have covered 'Here Comes the Sun'. Butler.
  12. Open the Wikipedia page for Eumetazoa and it talks about Evolutionary Origins. In it, it talks about molecular clocks. Clocks is a Coldplay song. Word: Rainbow
  13. Pickles are in hamburgers. Hamburgers are also a name for people from Hamburg. Keane have a song called 'Hamburg Song'. The pianist/main songwriter of Keane was invited to be part of Coldplay at one point... but then Coldplay changed their mind. Word: Fidelity.
  14. I got into Radiohead through a friend, but not in the way you'd think; a certain member of this forum who was (and still is :D) completely obsessed with Coldplay was kinda wanting to get into some "similar" bands (a term I use kinda loosely), such as Radiohead or U2. So, I got OK Computer, as I had a slight knowledge that it's considered to be their best album, but also one of the greatest albums of all time. I didn't really like the album at first, and deleted a bunch of songs (I basically kept Airbag, Paranoid Android, and Exit Music). Then, about a month later, I undeleted them, had another listen to the album, and really enjoyed it. So I got In Rainbows, which I fell in love with. Then The Bends, which, apart from a few tracks, I didn't (and still don't) really enjoy. By this time, I was content with these three albums, and by the time I decided to get the rest, it was getting pretty close to my birthday/Christmas. So I didn't bother. Then I got the collector's edition of Pablo Honey (which is an album I like far more than The Bends. Commence flaming). Then about a fortnight ago I completed my Radiohead LP collection. And now Radiohead is one of my favourite bands. I'm not as completely massively diehard as some of the members of this forum, but I still really like them. Infact, I'm listening to a playlist of Hail to the Thief and Amnesiac on shuffle, because I haven't really given these albums the proper listen. In short, I'm really glad you like these guys... they're definitely worth getting into if you have the time :) That's true with all good bands, really. I'm yet to meet a Coldplay fan that likes all of their albums equally!
  15. Yeah, that's probably it... we'll see what the album is like, hey? Personally, I think it'll be great :) Me too :)
  16. Oops, my bad :embarrassed: It is a great song, though!
  17. They're both on iTunes, but not Brothel for some reason  However, I can't find Mediafire downloads or anything... I will have a proper look some other time :)
  18. Yeah, you're right... like I said, I think I'm just misreading or analysing too much.
  19. That's a good point... I think I just misread it or analyse it to mean that they're trying to make a masterpiece rather than their masterpiece. Nonetheless, they should be trying to make music that comes from the heart, rather than music that sells records. I know that's an incredibly biased thing to say, as any band that tries to 'make it' is trying to sell as many records as is humanly possible. It just seems that Chris is trying more than ever to sell records rather than make music, which to me is not what Coldplay is about. I dunno... that's just me, maybe ;)
  20. I have a huge problem with Chris saying 'We're trying to make a masterpiece'. Sure, if Coldplay don't believe that they've created their best work yet, good luck to them. But the great albums aren't usually intended to be the great albums. Radiohead wouldn't have said 'Okay, we've made two pretty decent albums that have sold and rated pretty damned well, but now let's make an album that's considered to be one of the greatest rock albums of ALL TIMEE!' The same goes for The Beatles with Sgt Pepper's, Abbey Road, etc., nor did Green Day with Dookie or American Idiot. Masterpieces come out of creativity; music comes from the heart. Not trying to go down in history. I disagree. The thing about Coldplay that make them seem better than most bands out there is that none of their albums sound the same; each album has its own distinct sound. Listen to AROBBTH, then listen to Viva... two very different albums. I don't want an album that sounds the same as another... I want it to be unique.
  21. Bumpitty bump bump bumpsicles. I've just started to get into her... listening to her new album now :) The Brothel is just an epic song; I love it!
  22. Woo Apparatjik. I don't even have the album... I only have one song of theirs, but it's a great song nonetheless... so woo Apparatjik :D
  23. Okay, I've made a thread in the MM section for this, since that's really where this thread should be... http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4668234#post4668234 Good luck with the wedding :)
