I'd love to hear again See You Soon, Moses, Swallowed in the Sea, Trouble, Amsterdam and AROBBTH. I love those songs and never got the chance of hearing them live :wacky:

I really like X&Y, I agree with what you say about the melodies and regarding lyrics you may even say they are more "personal" that many VLVODALHF ones in the sense of relating your feelings to them. They're more straightforward. I don't think it's their best album, but I really like it. There are songs I don't care about that much like The Hardest Part or Twisted Logic, and some other songs that have been so overplayed everywhere that I had to give them a rest for a while, like Fix You, which is great and really emotional but it does not have the same effect after hearing it for the 1000th time in 3 months  Some may critisize the lyrics, well it's a valid point, I guess...but a song it's not 100% about the lyrics- I love some Oasis songs for instance and it's really hard for me to get what the heck they meant by a certain line :P- the melodies and what they do as a whole is what matters, to me anyways. After all, there are lots of non-English speakers who love the songs  I think Guy, Will and Jonny did a great job, you come to realise this also in the live performances. Anyways, X&Y was the album that turned Coldplay from "that British band" to "one of the most successful bands in the world", at least that's what I see happened in this corner of the world.
  6. @Sara yes, I am :nice: (primary school) @Haleema
  7. OK :nice: I had never thought about it either, but it's the same with Jonas Brothers :laugh3: my students used to have these buttons with "I  JB" and I was really curious about them cause I had no idea who they were refering to -I never actually thought they meant Jonny - until I had to ask them and they told me it was Jonas Brothers
  8. :laugh3: maybe they still need to wear black make up

  10. I hate those kind of people too, if you don't like it, you don't like it! that's it, there's no need to fight! and Chloe, good for standing up for the guys, but please don't get yourself hurt!
  11. they're just being jerks, they're just jealous these guys are better than whatever pop artist they may listen to. Did they get suspended too?
  12. Just ignore them Chloe! you know it isn't true anyways.
  13. I don't know anyone named Viva (Long live...or sometimes just like the exclamation "yay!") or Vida (the Spanish for "life")...:uhoh: it would sound a bit weird... My sister told me there was a girl with a Coldplay T-shirt at the place where she works :wacky:

  22. I'd like to have the album by May/ June, but if it's not ready, it's not ready, what can we do about it? They'll probably present the album at the festivals, I somehow believe they won't play just old songs, and then release the album by August. Or maybe this guy doesn't know for sure and we are all here getting crazy for nothing . What we do know, judging by interviews about the recording process of the previous albums, is that they keep working on it and adding and / or changing things til almost the last minute. Sometimes the last songs they added were really important songs like Clocks or Viva La Vida. So I don't know, stressing about it won't change a thing. I wish I had a release date -May, June, November-whenever!- , so I can just don't worry about it anymore, but we don't. I'm hopeful that we will get to hear new songs in a few months at the festivals. I know it feels like a long time between albums -especially when you want and need to hear new material as I'm sure many people here, me inculded  are - but 3 years between albums is not that uncommon tbh. After all, they officially finished their last leg of the Viva tour about a year ago. I'm impatient as well, but let's keep positive :nice:
  23. :awesome: :laugh3:
  24. I'm with you, I want a Coldplay album which can be the soundtrack to my autumn, not my spring and/or summer :snobby: :D
