You can't ever really have a debate about it though because of how with religion it's 100% belief, any doubt whatsoever is bad and it's this that causes homophobia.

Where I live there are quite a lot of homophobic people, but thats more because we live in a rural community and I only know two people who are lesbians so people just aren't really exposed to these things so much and they often have to deal with homophobic remarks. What annoys me most is that religion still has so much influence on our government when most of our country would probably say they weren't religious at all and would want equality.

I know how you feel dee, I'm 17 and I live in the UK I've never been to a proper concert as such and when I talk online about not being able to go I get the same response 'it's only like a 3 hour drive' but still my parents are poor and certainly wouldn't let me go on my own. Plus the public transport sucks round here and the only concert they did in the uk this year was at a festival right at the other end of the country on a small island. I hope when I go to Uni I can just go to as many concerts as I like.
