  1. That's been my theory from the beginning as well: the MOTS album and tour are there to maximize profit, with everything being pushed to the limit of optimization to make it highly profitable and build a financial cushion for the years ahead, which will inevitably be less lucrative. Even though I believe in Chris' sincerity toward BTS, I think it's also cleverly calculated because it's what works and guarantees success, same for Selena Gomez. Now that they've done the job, the coffers are full (including for the industry), they can return to something a bit more personal, and that starts with MM.
  2. On Spotify,Bill are on every song.
  3. that's precisely the Max Martin signature : paroles are not important. And y thinks it's why Chris love work with him.
  4. You have to put it in context: Coldplay is at the peak of their career. They are no longer an indie band, and with this album, they're taking a huge risk because it's clearly not made to dominate the charts. It radiates sincerity, and that's what matters to me. We've come a long way
  5. This album need to be played in some small venues in full like EL to be honest. Oh and final word: it's like an album based on Coloratura.
  6. Yeah one of their best song of theses 10 last years.
  7. Jupiter could be a Ed Sheeran song😄 The QVC live : https://www.youtube.com/live/sp4yyt94O4k
  8. I don’t want to influence your opinion, but I think you’ll feel the same joy as I did. And yes, clearly, there was probably not the same commercial pressure on this album as there was for MOTS.
  9. So, I just listened the album... I've been very hard on the band for the direction they've taken over the past 10 years, and at times I even resented them. But this time... I agree with what's been said here: it's the best thing they've done since MX, and I would even say since VIVA. I even place it above EL because the album flows seamlessly from start to finish. It's really good. As an 'Oldplayer,' it's a huge surprise; it brings out real emotions, it's well-constructed, and it unfolds like a story. The melodies are very well-crafted, and there are some truly spacey sounds. 'One World' is a stunner, and 'Moon Music' too... This album is insane. Thank you, Coldplay, you've just erased 10 years of disappointment. Obviously, it's not an indie album, but it blends genres beautifully. The fact that there aren't any superstar features like BTS or Beyoncé, or short, frustrating tracks, is a real pleasure. There's a real sense of risk-taking and self-reflection here—well done, guys. Total respect.
  10. on page 2 you can dowload in mp3, theses files works. Flac no work
  11. it's on the same website where a lot of material have leaked previously this year 😉
  12. Thanks for this detailed review, it sounds exciting! So, does this confirm that since MX, they've been alternating between ultra-commercial albums and more personal ones?
  13. Your first two points can also support what I'm saying: they grew closer thanks to the tour, as I mentioned. Likewise, the more professional process is exactly what I said with Chris's pre-work. Finally, I specifically mentioned that they won't split up, that they'll continue to do things together, but that creatively, they've probably reached a complicated point... Maybe in a few years, they'll feel nostalgic and go back to the studio as they have in the past. I'm a fan of Coldplay, but not a hardcore one; I like to take a step back and observe things, and I'm fully aware of what's at stake for them. I don't judge their story at all; on the contrary, I've been following Coldplay for years, and beyond the music, it's like reading a book. About the Vegas song: there's also this FFTF story; it seems to be related to the Moon Music era, so maybe something will come afterward?
  14. English is not my native language, but I'll try to detail my perspective of "Oldplayer." I'd like to emphasize that all of this is my personal reflection, that these are just assumptions, and some aspects are probably wrong because I'm not close to the band. First of all, I was struck by seeing G, J, and W interviewed together in the stadium while Chris was in a more personal setting. It’s as if these three guys are there just to do the job in the stadiums; there are plenty of little things that suggest this, for example, Guy explaining that at Glasto, he arrived just before the concert and left as soon as it ended. I think this applies to J and W as well, but G is much more outspoken about these things. Speaking of G, his passions (fashion, art, and cars) seem to be taking more and more of his time. As proof, we have his move to Amsterdam to be closer to AAF and the dutch art scene. As for J and W, it’s much harder to pin down. They're very reserved; we don't really know what they do in their free time, but I think they spend a lot of it with their families and are less involved in external things. Honestly, I don't feel they are as engaged with the band as they were during the VLV or MX periods, for example. Chris is living in Los Angeles, the capital of contemporary art, the global hub of entertainment and where celebrities live. He's involved in art, his artistic passion is still very much alive, and he seems to devour music. He's a passionate person, a top-level artist, and he's probably now surrounded by people who have developed the same sense as him. I’m also thinking about the sale of "The Bakery," which is quite symbolic and confirms what we’ve noticed since Chris’s move to Los Angeles, and especially since EL: they work remotely via Facetime. Chris seems to build and shape things with team members living in LA (Bill Rahko, Phil, Max Martin, Jacob Collier). Chris is an artist, but he’s very involved to the point of having developed a sense of entrepreneurship. He has built a very large network of people related to the artistic industry, and nothing is left to chance. Finally, the band travels in studios to finalize things. In other words, I think they've lost that "London band connection". For "Moon Music," it feels a bit different. It's an album that seems to have been built during the MOTS tour. Everyone is involved a bit more, even if time is limited, and I remain convinced that this tour, with its gigantic scale, symbolizes the end of something. Chris seems emotional at every concert, the rest of the band appears grateful, but everything feels massive/industrial like the residence at London in 2025 (They say it's for ecological reasons, but let's be honest, that's not the only reason: it's to reduce the tour's costs, especially since they had to write a multi-million check to Dave Holmes to settle the dispute. But we can assume that this profit optimization is also to build a financial cushion to face the upcoming inactive years). These recent interviews with NME and Apple Music strengthen my feeling: it’s serious. I mean, the band gets along wonderfully; they're not on the brink of a split, but they probably feel they've reached the end of the creative mechanism, and the physical distance that has grown between them has only reinforced their emotional distance. They’ve explored so much, and let’s be honest, the MOTS period feels like a huge evolution from the AHFOD period, whereas VIVA, MX, AHFOD, and all the other albums were real shifts. EL is in a class of its own. I don't believe in solo careers: W, J, and G seem to be perfectly comfortable with this “intermittent” lifestyle that comes with numerous benefits. The only one who might have ventured off to do musical things on his own is G, as he did with Apparatjik, but he's moved on to other, less musical hobbies. Chris is different. I think he’ll be more involved with other artists in terms of composition and production. In short, he’ll step into the invisible side while remaining very influential. He won't just sit still—he's hyperactive, and music is his oxygen. As for these last two albums, I see it this way: Chris will be heavily involved in the musical theater project, while the rest of the band will be less so. And for the 12th album, I see it more as a retrospective with a lot of material that’s been stored away (and we know there’s a lot of it). In the end, it's just the logical path any long-lasting band follows: they start indie, rise very strongly, and develop a sense of entrepreneurship until they reach the peak of success, which comes with a certain bourgeois lifestyle and other desires. I can't help but think of U2's story.
  15. in the Zane Lowe interview, Guy say again that was a bad period, so i dont believe that. The NME and Zane Lowe interviews are really interesting. Of course, like they always have this very clean speech with elements of languages but we can understand some small important information like : "All my love" are are the final single ? Moon Music are hardworked like a final step Chris speak about the next 11 album... but MM is not the 11 ? Jacob collier is an important regular contributor like David Rossi. "The band" have a studio in Malibu (probably the Malibu Playhouse buyed by Chris studio) Chris and Moses listen a lot of Fontaines DC MM expresses a negative awakening towards a day that turns positive, so MM should be a sad song. Personally, I feel like Chris gets lost in love. He likes to say he’s grounded and aware of many things, but he’s still a superstar, and saying that love is the answer to everything is too easy when you have that level of lifestyle. Of course, his message is important, but I’d like them to be a bit more selfish and proud of themselves and their past. I’m still not convinced by Max Martin's added value, and I feel like they no longer really know how to make music on their own, as if they always need assistance to release something. The band still seems friendly, but you can sense they're drifting apart musically. If they're happy that way, then good for them. These interviews reinforce my opinions since the release of MOTS: there's this little scent of an ending; everything is maximized, the tour is pushed to the limit, the promotion too, and Chris is increasingly talking about another future. MM also seems important to him, perhaps a bit more personal than MOTS, which was tailored for the massive tour. Even if his speech is ultra-controlled, I sense a bit of relaxation and a personality that’s coming back more naturally.
  16. Not great like a song from 15 years ago but better than MOTS songs (excluding Coloratura), sound more Coldplay. We feel Max Martin are in the place... Message to Chris : Chris, take a pause to find creativy and be prood of your old albums.
  17. How is it rewarding to make people believe that you know things?
  18. He was betrayed by "friends" whom he shared things with, and who were unable to keep it to themselves, apparently they are teenagers. Otherwise, this topic still makes me very uncomfortable: it's discussions about stolen intimate things, I mean we're here in the group's intimacy, these leaks are such intimate matters, it's like we're appropriating someone's diary. If the band did not release theses tracks, that's because they had good reasons.
  20. That doesn't necessarily mean they were recorded in connection with Moon Music. The leak includes some older material.
  21. Hi, I wanted to share a sentiment with you regarding the future of the band. As you know, they will be making their 5th appearance at Glastonbury this summer, which is considered excessive by many Glastonbury festivalgoers. I can understand this viewpoint, and I'm sure the group also holds a huge respect for this festival to understand it as well. That's why I have a theory: This MOTS tour is truly gigantic, it's very long, and I think it's a sort of farewell before a significant hiatus for the group (And it's also an opportunity to fill their bank accounts before this long break.). I would add that Moon Music doesn't seem to come with an extension of the tour. They love Glastonbury, and I think it was hardly conceivable for them not to pass through their "home" before this chapter closes for a long period... I've been fortunate enough to see the group on every tour since 2008, including at Glastonbury, and I've felt from the beginning that this MOTS tour isn't just any ordinary tour. It's truly massive, and the group seems so grateful on stage... If that's the case, I believe they will make this announcement during the festival. What are your thoughts on this?
  22. If someone serach 2 tickets for Cardiff, current auction to get 2 tickets (look like given by coldplay) for the cardiff 7 june : https://uk.givergy.com/liveloudlyauctionforruby/?controller=lots&action=showLot&id=2 230£ for now

  24. Hello, Why i can't acces to this topic ? https://coldplaying.com/forums/topic/83024-appeal-to-chris-martin/ Thank you
  25. I'm quite surprised to see that there is no open topic on this anniversary so I'm starting the topic. 20 years... Time flies. I don't know why but I feel a lot of melancholy about this anniversary, probably because the MOTS tour is the confirmation that the band is on a very different trajectory, definitely. To be honest I'm torn between the feeling of sadness because I still find it difficult to accept that the band has become an industrial pop machine and therefore the quality of the songs is no longer the central element of the band (instead the show). Maybe because this album are released before internet too. But on the other hand, I am extremely grateful to have left us this gift. Like many others I think this album is really special and it forms a quartet with Parachutes, X&Y and VIVA which has accompanied (and still accompanies) the lives/youth of many people. Thank you Coldplay for this joy. AROBTTH is so special, so perfectly imperfect and so "Coldplay". I fully understand that the band needs to evolve and given the success of the MOTS tour but maybe I don't understand the world. I sincerely hope to hear more AROBTTH live one day because we need more emotional and reflection in this world too. Nice article about the making of AROBTTH : https://www.thisisdig.com/feature/a-rush-of-blood-to-the-head-coldplay-album/
