Coldplay will release track "Atlas" from "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" soundtrack on 6/8 Sept
After looking at the lyrics, I'm getting a "U.F.O." type feel for this song.

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
June 2, 2009 The fifth (!) single from Life In Technicolor is being released today. Paradise also features A Message as a b-side. As the tour comes to a close in the next few months, the band plans to release one final single from the album, with another b-side to give fans something new again before they take some time off to think about where they want to go next as a band.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Was so proud of myself for making a Will Champion reference today at work, only to remember I might the only one who likes Coldplay in the entire office.

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
July 8, 2008 Coldplay's fourth full-length album is titled: Life In Technicolor, which may have set off mass confusion. Technically the title track appeared on the Lost EP, which featured a song called Lost+ (with Jay-Z), while Lost! appeared on Life In Technicolor, which features a song called Life In Technicolor II, the band's new single. The album's art takes it's theme from the era's singles. Though instead of song lyrics as the background in different shades of one color, it features song titles from the era (including the Lost EP, as all of those songs were being considered for the album when the cover art was completed) in all types of colors, with the name of the album painted over it in white. TOUR SETLIST Hurts Like Heaven Glass Of Water One I Love Paradise Major Minus Life In Technicolor II Yellow Violet Hill Lost! I thought it'd be nice to go in a completely different direction for the song called Life In Technicolor II. Don't worry, the album art is way more colorful!

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
June 30, 2008 Coldplay's performance last night at Glastonbury Sunday will surely go down as one of Glastonbury's finest moments. The big concert on Friday was Beyonce, and Saturday, her husband, rapper Jay-Z, with appearances from Beyonce. Sunday, Coldplay, took the stage and decided to invite Jay-Z to perform Lost+, a song from their recent EP, Lost, released in February. With a handful of new songs in the setlist (they didn't want to spoil their touring setlist and the new album), the band were on their game all night. That morning they released their second single from their still untitled LP4 (which is how the album's name appears online). The song, titled Life In Technicolor II, is the same song that appears on the Lost EP, only with words. The single was released with one b-side, In My Place and the [rather ironic] artwork is shown below. The band's setlist (below) featured 9 songs performed live for the first time: three from the EP, the two LP4 singles, the two b-sides from the Glass Of water single, and two never before heard songs from LP4, both of which were played in the band's three-song encore. GLASTONBURY SETLIST Glass Of Water In My Place God Put A Smile Upon You Face White Shadows Daylight Strawberry Swing Shiver Lost+ (with Jay-Z) Politik Charlie Brown Moving To Mars Death And All His Friends Violet Hill Life In Technicolor II Major Minus **Chinese Sleep Chant** **Talk** **Fix You** **Denotes Encore**

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
June 26, 2008 One day before Glastonbury is set to begin, the headliners, Coldplay, have released the tracklisting for their upcoming fourth record (seen below). After revealing it song by song online on their website, the band now have thirteen songs to be released on July 8th, one of which will be the album's title. A few of the new songs will be in the Glastonbury setlist on Sunday night. The favorites for album's title appear to be: - Viva La Vida (the cover art so far is pretty out there, and so is this title) - A Spell A Rebel Yell (apparently some of the lyrics have hints of rebellious themes) - Life In Technicolor II (although this could be shortened, as Lost+ appeared on EP called 'Lost' while Lost! appears on this album) - Paradise - Yellow (the album is supposed to be very colorful) - Up With The Birds The band will release a second single for the album on Sunday morning.

Two songs left on the LP4 Tracklisting! And they may or may not have been guessed already! Also remember, as usual, one of the song titles will also be the album title.

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
While I already have their LP4 Era setlist made (as well as their 08 Glastonbury setlist, which is quite different), I will tell you that you'll be happy to know that Chinese Sleep Chant is in there, as a sort-of opener.

Ah Flip! It will be corrected on the actual album cover! I've already made these blurred out ones haha. In My Place is a good guess, but anything on the Lost EP won't be on here.

Good guesses so far guys. I'll just go ahead and reveal the next two.

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
Coldplay are slowly revealing their album tracklisting over the internet, releasing a picture every few days (a few every day on here) with a new song revealed (and the rest blurred out). Now that we know Glass Of Water, here's what the back cover of the album will look like: Think you can guess what other songs are on it, and where?

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
May 12, 2008 With the title of their fourth album still unknown to the public, Coldplay have released the album's first single today: Glass Of Water. A more rock-ish, colorful song (you can tell by the single's artwork below which features the lyrics painted in a colored theme in the background, with the song's title painted over it in white), the single will set the tone for a new era of Coldplay music, one that should thrust them back into the national spotlight after basically absent for two years. While they still won't spill the beans on new record's name or tracklisting, they did say a few things to the press this afternoon: - Glass Of Water will be the third track on the album. - There will be another single released the week of their Glastonbury gig. - The artwork in this era is themed just like the past two records. - The plan is to release more singles from this album than any other Coldplay album before. ARTWORK The single features two b-sides: Death And All His Friends & Strawberry Swing.

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
February 5, 2008 A preview to Coldplay's fourth LP is being released today. Lost, is a 4 song EP that deviates from the "Space-age" sound the band had on Square One, but still keeps that upbeat sound, in a more major key than any of the band's previous work. There is a track titled "Lost+" on the EP, but no sign of any song just titled "Lost." The song features rapper Jay-Z who has become close friends with Chris Martin after working with him on one of his records. "Life In Technicolor" opens the EP and then fades into "Charlie Brown" seamlessly. All of these songs could end up being played live, especially at the band's recently announced Glastonbury headlining gig at the end of June, which is about ten days before the band are set to release their fourth album, the title of which will be kept a secret as long as possible. Will Champion said they are working on adding the finishing touches to their record and then learning how to play the songs live, some of which will hopefully be part of their Glastonbury setlist. Although no songs are official singles, Charlie Brown has been picked up by some radio stations and getting frequent play over the airwaves.

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
September 17, 2007 Coldplay is in the studio finishing they're 4th full length album, and perhaps a rumored EP will come out of these sessions too, as the band stated that they want to release something in the coming months (at the end of this year ot the beginning of next year). One thing to note is that rapper Jay-Z was recently seen leaving Coldplay's London recording studio, so perhaps a collaboration is in the works. Drummer Will Champion said the band hopes to have a finalized release in the next few weeks. On a rumored EP Chris Martin said, "We've got kind of an intro project we're working on for the new album. So take that for what it's worth.....EP? Maybe. Double Album? Maybe not. But we've got a lot of songs we're happy with and we want to release them in some form. How these songs end up when they're finished will sort of determine which ones make the record, how they fit and so on. We've to names for the final collections of music that will be released. One is just one word, and the other is three words. As usual, they are song titles."

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
December 27, 2005 Coldplay have released their fourth and final single from Square One. The single, Talk, is accompanied by the b-side The Hardest Part. Both are two of the 'pop-ier' songs of this era of Coldplay songs. At least two members of the band confirmed the rumor that you won't be seeing much of them in the public eye over the next year or two. Said Chris Martin, "Right now we're evaluating where we want to go, how big of a step we want to take with our fourth record. We have a few directions we feel like we can take the next album and be comfortable and excited about it." Said Guy Berryman, "Our tour wraps up at the end of March and then we're going to take some time off. We probably won't even go into the studio to do any serious recording until this time next year, at the very earliest." What direction do you want to see Coldplay go? (Though I already know what LP4 is - artwork, title, tracklisting, and singles - any guesses?)

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
August 15, 2005 Coldplay have released their third single from Square One. Moving To Mars, is exactly what the title makes it seem like: a spacey song most likely inspired by Space Oddity by David Bowie. The single's b-side, 42 (yes a reference to A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy), is pretty much a more rock-ish version of the single. SETLIST Politik Yes Swallowed In The Sea Violet Hill White Shadows X&Y God Put A Smile Upon Your Face 42 Daylight A Rush Of Blood To The Head Square One How You See The World Speed Of Sound The Scientist Everything's Not Lost Major Minus **Moving To Mars** **Clocks** **Talk** **Encore**

Coldplay in an Alternate Universe
March 14, 2005 Coldplay have released their second single from the their third LP (we'll get to the album later). The single, titled Politik, is on the second half of the 12 song record. It's a sometimes-quiet, sometimes-rocking-out track that ends with an enormous amount of energy and emotion. The single includes the b-side Clocks which the band said was the last song cut from the record and could definitely be played live. LP3 finally has name as it wasn't released to the public until today.....Square One. The 12 song album, is full of strings, synth, and spacey / futuristic lyrics. It has a very "year 3000 / supercomputer" look to it, which partly comes from the song Talk, and its sample of Computer Love by Kraftwerk.
