Will this be the title track?
I still think it's "antipublicity".

" Major Minus " LP5 Title?
Yeah, perfect! However, I still think that, despite nice, Major Minus is a little too depreciative name for an album title (let's not forget they are really trying to sell it also to not-fans), and I (stupidly, maybe) insist that it has something to do with MX. Major Minus is too explicit. Why would they name a song/keyboard introduction "MX", without anything else? Maybe they can use the "Major Minus" as part of the album, idk, "mythology". Anyway, this album they're stretching the mystery with riddles, and random lyrics for songs' releases and everything. Something, because of this attitude, leads me to believe that we still don't know the song that will name the album. But it will be epic, that's for sure.

What does "Major Minus" MEAN?
^ hahahahh You're not the only one. My opinion, like I posted on the other thread, is that it relates with death lurking by, and the narrator knows that. Knowing that danger, that caution is necessary - though death is unavoidable -, it's just them (narrator+interlocutor) against the world. That knowledge of unavoidable and iminent death is the Major Minus. Ok, I think I stretched out a lil bit there. Any better ideas, PLEASE? hahahahah

Sometimes I wonder if he makes himself hard to hear on purpose, to make us wonder and go crazy

Lyrics
Well, by parts. "They got one eye watching you One eye, what you do? So be careful who it is you're talking to They got one eye watching you One eye, what you do? So be careful what it is you're tryin' (to) do And be careful (…) walk with you And be careful when you're walking into view Ooh-ooh-oooh Ooh-ooh-oooh-oooh Got one eye on the road and one on you Ooh-ooh-oooh Ooh-ooh-oooh-oooh Got one eye on the road and one on you They got one eye watching you And one eye, what you do? So be careful 'cause my friend, this is true Bu-do-do-don't believe a word It's just us against the world And we just got a turn to be heard I hear those crocodiles ticking 'round the world I hear those crocodiles ticking, you go ticking 'round the world Ooh-ooh-oooh Ooh-ooh-oooh-oooh Got one eye on the road and one on you Ooh-ooh-oooh Ooh-ooh-oooh-oooh Got one eye on the road and hey! Here I'm climbing the stairs I got my left side by you on the left Tryin' too much Ooh-ooh-oooh Ooh-ooh-oooh-oooh Got one eye on the road and one on you Ooh-ooh-oooh Ooh-ooh-oooh-oooh Got one eye on the road and one on you." This is the version I hear the closest, and the one that makes more sense (IF we can say anything makes MORE sense here) to me. Despite the "they" part, that I really think it's "you", but it doesn't change the meaning at all: someone's watching you, and not in the "cool, father" way. I feel a sense of urgency in this song... PERFECTLY what I thought! In the minute I heard "crocodiles ticking" I rememebered of Peter Pan - also because I wrote a song with the same construction and reference about six months ago :) Anyway. I believe that, in this reference, death is lurking, and she's got an eye on you (that would also be a nice pirate reference, uh? ;)), so you gotta be careful in what you do, and make the rest of your life worthwhile. And, as they said, it would explain the title, somehow: the MAJOR MINUS is that you know death is coming, so hurry up with your bucket list! :D PS: Sorry for the EVEN LONGER post :embarrassed:

"Originally Posted by Craigie-J;4817106 I'm doing this for all the songs, here is my interpretation ... what do you think? Oh morning come bursting, the clouds, they left. Lift off this blindfold, let me see again. And bring back the water that your ships role in, in my heart you left a hole. The tightrope that I'm walking, just sways and ties. The devil, as he's talking, with those angel's eyes. And I just wanna be there when the lightning strikes. And the Saints go marchin in And sing slow it down, Through the chaos as it swirls It's just us against the world. Like a river to a raindrop, I lost a friend. My drunken as a Daniel in a lion's den. And tonight I know it all has to begin again, So whatever you do, Don't let go. And if we could float away, Fly up to the surface, and just start again. And Lift off people trouble. Just erodes us in the rain, Just erodes us in the rain, Just erodes us into roses in the rain Just sing slow-ow-ow-ow it down. Oh slow-ow-ow-ow it down. Through the chaos as it swirls, It's us against the world. Through the chaos as it swirls, It's us against the world." Yeaah... I think with the "erodes us into roses in the rain" he plays with the words 3 times. 1) Erodes, being the verb and the king - despite the fact that's NOT the King from Daniel story, since he's Nebuchadnezzar, but would be a great pun anyway - in this case; 2) With "into roses" inserting the theme of the album in the lyrics; 3) Again with "into roses" for the sonority it has with "erodes us", that sounds like an AMAZING match. But we'll just know with the official release of the lyrics. Putting aside all this biblical/graffiti/White Rose madness - or perhaps MAINLY for this madness -, this is a great song, and this'll be a great album.
