The Tracklisting
It's just a letter. Do you really think that the band will leave a song of the album purely because of the letter it begins with? There could be 10 songs on the album that begin with the letter U. It doesn't matter.

Coldplayzone.it new interview with Davide Rossi: 'LP5 will be their 'Sgt. Pepper's'!'
Yes you're right. I need some sleep...

I'm pretty sure Charlie Brown will be the first single picked up from LP5
R42 said they've taken measures to prevent a leak this time after what happened with some of Viva's tracks. They've made sure that as few people as possible have access to the tracks.

Coldplayzone.it new interview with Davide Rossi: 'LP5 will be their 'Sgt. Pepper's'!'
I find it worrying that Chris thinks the album is amazing. With all the past releases he hasn't had 100% confidence in it and most of the time it's turned out to be fantastic. This time round he thinks it can be on par with Sgt. Pepper which is a ridiculous claim to make if the underwhelming ETIAW is anything to go by.

The Tracklisting
Us Against The World has been pushed to the forefront more than the other 'U' songs. It's the only one that's actually been played. It seems as important as Hurts Like Heaven or Charlie Brown. I think all the songs that have been played live will be on the album.

Down To The Wire
They'll give it 2 names again. It'll be called 'Bitches and Hoes or Gangstas And All Their Homeboys.'

The Sixth Week Begins...
Chris has been known to be very unreliable during interviews. In one interview he said that it would be an acoustic album and then denied it later. Then he said it would be a concept album but in the next interview he did he admitted he didn't have a clue what he was talking about and it isn't a concept album at all. And bear in mind when it comes down to announcements, EMI have to agree to it. It isn't totally in the hands of the band.

How many songs are they not using?
I think 14 songs is too many. When you have loads of tracks it often ruins the magic of the album. I think 11 or 12 is a perfect number. But The Suburbs by Arcade Fire had 16 songs and it was a fantastic album so who knows.

Down To The Wire
I don't really like the name Mylo Xyloto. The album title doesn't really matter to me that much though. It's just a name, I don't care what it is as long as the music inside is good.

We still want Wedding Bells!
I think he was referring to the song in it's completed form. When he played it the first time it was essentially just a short melody he'd created.

How many songs are they not using?
The fact that it says 'tracks' suggests that they will do the same thing as on Viva with the 2 songs per track. There's no way they'd only have 9 songs. My guess is that they'll have 9 or 10 tracks with about 12 or 13 songs.

Haha it does indeed. But in the last era there were 3 songs that said 'now my feet won't touch the ground.' And they were all different songs obviously.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNDpD87Rgx8]Chris Martin - Wedding Bells @ The Boogaloo 13/4/11 - YouTube[/ame] At 0:21 he says 'it's not going on our record or anything like that' and then at 1:05 he says 'it's only been played once, and it'll probably be only played twice.'

I think Car Kids refers to a new song rather than the lyrics in Charlie Brown. The first 2 points are very good but the rest could be applied to just about any of the new songs. I think Charlie Brown will be the lead single from LP5. Out of the songs we've heard it's probably the most radio-friendly.

How many songs are they not using?
Next to where it said no albums longer than 42 minutes it also said no more than 9 tracks. I think they'll stick to that. They've always said that they should have cut down X&Y because it was too long and they tried to do that with Viva La Vida by keeping it relatively short.

Only about 10% of anything Chris has ever said has been correct. Don't get your hopes up guys.

The Tracklisting
Up With The Birds is definitely not Us Against The World. You have zero proof for it and they're registered as seperate songs on the PRS database. We know that Up With The Birds features Leonard Cohen in some way and obviously Us Against The World doesn't. You're absolutely wrong I'm afraid. On a side note, we now have our 3 songs beginning with U: Up With The Birds, Us Against The World and Up In Flames.

We still want Wedding Bells!
Wedding Bells has an almost identical chord progression to Christmas Lights that's based around the Em7 chord. Em7 was the chord that Chris said he'd 'never heard before' on the Southbank Show. It also has a similar melody to the first half of Christmas Lights and it has some of the lyrics as pointed out already. My guess is that they scrapped Wedding Bells but took some of the ideas in it and put them in Christmas Lights. Chris and the Oracle have both said it won't be on the album. Chris actually said it would never be released so its likely that we'll never hear of this song again even in b-side form.

Third song starting with "U" "Under Roof" ?
Next time I just hope they pull a Radiohead and say 'oh by the way we have an album coming out in a few days'. The long wait is awful.

Third song starting with "U" "Under Roof" ?
I wouldn't put it past them to have UFO stand for something else. This is Coldplay after all. Writing UFO and drawing flying saucers everywhere could be a little joke and a reference to the song with UFO as its initials. I doubt any of that is true. But yeah...

REX has only been seen on the piano so far as far I know. I think it's just a little shout out to Will's son Rex.

Guy confirms album out end of October (Triple J interview - transcript & MM links in first post)
Most people dislike the song because of the over-produced studio version with all its unnecessary effects that ruin the magic of the song (myself included). I for one love the live version. I'd be happy to see Major Minus on the album if it was remixed to make it a little more stripped down like the live one.

Nah, I get what you're saying. But I'm with JackZ on this. If Major Minus and ETIAW are both on the album then they shouldn't have both been on the EP. And for the record, I am definitely in favour of having a concise, flowing album rather than a mass of songs that don't really work together. Viva La Vida did that very well and I'd like to see that technique incorporated into the next album. All I'm saying is that I'd rather not see the same songs that we've already heard studio versions of, regardless of how they fit in with the album. I'm sure they could replace both ETIAW and Major Minus with other songs and still create a fantastic flowing album. Oh, and Major Minus and ETIAW aren't great songs anyway. They're probably the weakest of the new songs we've heard, and they're definitely not was good as most of the stuff from the previous albums.

The Tracklisting
A mnemonic is a technique that helps you to remember facts. For example Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain is a mnemonic to remember the colours of the rainbow. ROYGBIV = Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. But yeah I do quite like the name Mnemonics and Murals.

The Tracklisting
^That actually looks like a reasonable guess. Us Against The World has been a very important song in the live shows so it'll probably be on the album rather than an EP. I don't think REX is a song title and as much as it pains me to say it, ETIAW will probably make the album.
