  1. What's going on up there?
  2. Umm... no actually.
  3. Cleggy replied to foxeh's topic in Coldplay
You had 42 views when I watched it. Epic. I really like it, I've just put it on my iPod. I hope that's alright with you ;)
  4. You're right there. The similarities are uncanny. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2V_ZT-nyOs]LCD Soundsystem - "All My Friends" - YouTube[/ame] Just skip to 1:54. Perhaps this is why they're considering leaving it off the album, it's not just similar, it's musically identical at some parts. If Hurts Like Heaven is ever released it could be as big as the ETIAW or Viva plagiarism claims, particularly from publications that don't like Coldplay. I don't think it's as obvious as Viva La Vida/If I Could Fly or ETIAW/I Go To Rio but it's very similar at parts.
  5. Here: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPG3zSgm_Qo]A Charlie Brown Christmas - Christmas Time is Here Song - YouTube[/ame] The part where they start singing has an identical note sequence to the piano outro. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViO3qGpB8hM]Coldplay Performs "Charlie Brown" - YouTube[/ame] Skip to 4:22 in this video. Somebody else on the forum first noticed this, I can't remember who it was though.
  6. By now the members of the band probably have so much money that they don't care how much they get. Coldplay are definitely more concerned about the music rather than the money they make. Especially now that they're all multi-millionaires.
  7. ^ The piano part is the same part that they've played live to transition into Life is for Living. It's actually a sample from a song in the Peanuts Christmas cartoon or something.
  8. You've just crossfaded the songs, you can do that with any 2 songs and the majority of the time it sounds like they're supposed to be together. I don't think the guitar effect sounds anything like the start of Charlie Brown. One sound is a guitar effect, the other is sped up vocals, there's a big difference. Also, if it is intended to put Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown together, then why are the band considering leaving HLH off the album? If they've gone to the trouble of matching the sounds effects in the 2 songs then they must be certain that both songs will make the album. Any similarities are coincidences I reckon.
  9. No, that piano part at the end is actually from Charlie Brown.
  10. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall is probably a given too unfortunately.
  11. Dos she mean ETIAW is on the album here? :(
  12. Those songs are average at best, my personal favourite is God Put Hair Upon Your Chest. That piano solo at the end is incredible.
  13. I think only Sky have it at the moment. The only channels that have used the song so far is Sky One and Sky Sports. Even so, there must be enough people who work at Sky who have access to the song that makes a leak plausible.
  14. Even if this was the tracklisting thread, nobody wants to read some fan-made tracklist which means absolutely nothing.
  15. I was going to vote, but after this shameless bait and switch I have other ideas. Just kidding I voted.
  16. Wow, the piano outro was indeed for Charlie Brown, except in the studio version it's played immediately after rather than that long wait in the live version. They haven't gone overboard on the voice effects either, I'm impressed.
  17. I like the vocals a lot better in this version. It's interesting how Jonny's part is taken out of most of the remixes, it's probably the best part of the song.
  18. This topic is evil and should be locked or moved to a secret board where it can never be seen again. If you're going to lie about finding Coldplay lyrics, you an at least make can attempt to make them not shit so we haven't completely wasted our time.
  19. I was watching the some of the Sky One ads yesterday and I still haven't seen it :(
  20. Nah, Charlie Brown and Paradise are registered as separate songs on all those databases. Also, it was pretty obvious Charlie Brown was going to be on the album anyway.
  21. It's been mentioned before on the forums, but thanks for confirming it. I haven't heard it yet.
  22. You should totally sue them.
  23. The rest of the world will be able to hear it before October 24th too. Somebody's going to upload it to YouTube after it's been released in Europe. Hopefully you'll be able to listen to it before EMI take it down.
  24. Are you kidding me? It only sounds like that because of the way the audio has been altered to make the backing track more clear. You can clearly hear it doesn't sound like that in the original recording. It would sound horrible if it sounded like that in the studio version.
