  3. Yeah, hellloooooo, thank you! and also in response to the post above, I love Blue Flashing Light! What's wrong with that song?? WDIAROM is a great song, but not my fav on the album. I'm all about Writing to Reach You and Driftwood, but the entire album is wonderful. Just my opinion anyway.... the point is, The Man Who is fabulous and so is Travis!
  4. Crumb by Crumb - Rufus Wainwright
  5. Fran is soooo huggable!!!!! Those dimples...*sigh*
  6. I don't think they can come out every time, but I've heard they often do and are VERY willing to sign autographs and chat and take pics, etc. Guess it just depends on the circumstances though. But I lucked out, that's for sure!!!
  7. i know i'm lucky, believe me!!!! i'm still buzzing from hanging out with them for a bit and i even had a wee conversation with Fran and one with Dougie...they are sooo sweet!!
  8. here's the promised pics though be warned - camera phone is not so fabulous and the pics are bit massive. oh, and the pic with Dougie and I was taken right next to my face for some reason. yikes!
  9. Yeah - I really enjoyed their live show. Can't wait for the next one!!
  10. i love that song...that chick in the blue they showed was really into it. hehe
  11. it was sooo awesome! thanks
  12. OMG - I cannot believe it!!! That really sucks - so unlike any other story I've ever heard about Travis. And definitely nothing like my experience for sure...I would've been quite disappointed as well! Maybe they were just having an off night?? I dunno...hopefully you'll still go to the next show and will get to see them then. I just can't get over it!! There has to be some reason though. Now I'm sad... :(
  13. Not long at all - Neil came out in like 10 min. Andy came out about 30 minutes later and next was Dougie about 5 minutes after that and Fran was literally right behind him. When I left, they were still there signing autographs. They are just fantastic guys!! Oh, and I will post the pics soon - have to get them out of my phone. Sorry to say though, I'm sure the quality won't be good. I really need a new phone. But Fran did tell me that in about 6 months to a year they are hoping to be back to the states for another tour, maybe something different like a double-headliner type of thing. When that time comes, I'll show up with a digital camera and will get some better pics. Anyway - I'm still buzzing from that night - I'm so happy... :))
  14. a mint. see? i'm quite considerate of others. :)

Heard this wonderful news as well - YAY!!!!!! Can't wait...LOVE the Verve!!
  16. I love Keane! I live in the states, where apparently most people have no taste in music. I went to see Keane on their last tour (haven't come round here yet for this tour - fingers crossed!) and the crowd was annoying me to no end!!! Very few audience members appeared to know any of the songs and several of them were very rude to the opening acts, one of whom was Regina Spektor, who is amazing as well. Anyway, the show was fabulous and I love Iron Sea as well so I hope they come around soon!! On another note, I saw Travis on Friday night. Again - crowd was mostly annoying and were like zombies, except for a few. However, the show was sooooo great and I had a blast, dancing and singing along, etc. I saw them a few years ago at the same venue - amazing then too! I actually stuck around this time to try to get autographs, which paid off. Got each band member to sign my sleeve of The Man Who and got a picture with Fran and Dougie. Love Travis!!!

  18. soooo...I went to the Houston show Friday night and as I expected, it was an amazing show!! The majority of the crowd, however, were disappointing, as not many people seemed to be awake - HELLO?!?! Anyway, I was very close to the stage (planned to be in the front row but I had to work so didn't get there as early as planned) and stood in the center. I sang to every song and danced like a fool, though I'm usually pretty reserved at concerts. Dougie and Fran smiled at me some and made lots of eye contact. Yay!! Anyway, I brought the sleeve to The Man Who (since it's basically my fav and I thought I should just pick one to get signed as not to be greedy) and waited outside for autographs. Of course, I wasn't disappointed - I got everyone's autograph, chatted with all of them and even got a picture with Fran and one with Dougie. I could've gotten one with Andy and Neil but I only had my oldie cell phone and my friend wasn't next to me to take the pic at that time. But I'll be sure to come better prepared next time!! Anyway, they were all amazingly friendly and fantastic guys, just like I had been told by others. Fran and Dougie even drew a heart for me when they signed - awww! So I'll try to put the couple of pics up that I took, though the quality will likely suck. I love Travis!!
  19. their site is http://www.travisonline.com. looks like the only US dates are still hollywood and san francisco, along with coachella. i've been keeping an eye out for additional dates because i am NOT missing it!!!! i went for 12 memories...i was right up front and it was one of the best shows i've seen, which didn't surprise me!
  20. i just checked the site a couple of weeks ago, and was getting worried cause i didn't see anything!!! so thanks for the update. i was watching the palace dvd yesterday and was really, really missing Travis!! can't wait!!!
  21. it's definitely worth it!! the show i saw was in a kinda small venue, so i was able to get there early enough to get right up front. great show!
  22. siamese dream always brings back tons of memories for me...i love that album.
  23. i love love LOVE fiona apple. i've always thought she had such a soulful voice - when tidal came out, i remember thinking "i can't believe this chick is my age!" hehe...(wish i could sing like that.) and i absolutely love extraordinary machine. of course, i'll never get sick of hearing tidal and when the pawn...
