DREAM THEATER!!!!!
Just thought I'd add to this thread - my husband is a huge DT fan. Me, not so much. I like the music, but not a fan of the singing. I recognize their amazing talent, of course, but I really have trouble getting past that singing! Anyway, I even went to one of their shows with my hubby when I was like 7 months pregnant a while back. (Not a fun show for me, but he really enjoyed it! I think the baby liked it, too!) Anyway, so add a fan in the Houston, TX area! :)

Your favourite 5 bands at the moment... in no order are...
I'm glad you liked that album! I love the entire album - I went through a phase recently where I was only listening to that album daily during my drive to and from work or anywhere...hehe. But, I do love all Sigur Ros albums, and I'm not sure what else to recommend since you didn't like Starálfur and Hoppípolla, but I'm guessing there will be a few songs off of each album that you will like. When I go to bed, sometimes I listen to Takk or () as they sound lovely and relax me. To keep with the thread, lately I'm listening to the following 5: Band of Horses Carissa's Wierd Coldplay Travis Sigur Ros

U2
Yep - totally agree. My hubby and I were like, Hmm...when he started off. then he started pulling that BS with trying to show off his voice and it was just ridiculous...he end up butchering the song, IMO. dunno why the judges are all over this guy...he's obviously talented, but HELLO...i don't really know anyone that would buy THAT album. maybe on broadway, but that's it. blehhh...

Hmm...so many good ones...the latest album is með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, which i find to be fabulous. however, seems like many SR fans don't like it as much as their earlier albums, but i really don't understand that. some songs i like are: starálfur (one of my FAVS) off of ágætis byrjun, hoppípolla off of takk..., love everything off of () (that's the album title - all songs are untitled), gobbledigook and með suð í eyrum off of the latest album...ahh...there are too many songs i love!!!! guess it all depends on you taste, but maybe try starting with starálfur and hoppípolla, then let us know what you think. those songs are pretty accessible and i know there are some live versions on youtube.

U2
I know - it's crazy to think it's been over 10 years!!! That night of U2 is when my hubby and I started hanging out all the time (we worked together but never really talked much). After the show we went to IHOP and sat and drank coffee for hours, just talking, talking, talking, mostly about the music we like, etc. Music has always been a big part of our lives and we'll never forget that U2 show that started it all for us!

U2
Yeah, I love Muse. I've only been able to see them live once, since the other two shows I should've seen them play ended up getting canceled or Muse pulled out due to injury. But when I saw them on their last tour, it was as amazing as I figured, though definitely not long enough!

What artist can't you stop listening to today?
Band of Horses, Sigur Ros and Muse - CONSTO with these 3 lately. i go through phases hehe.

U2
I haven't seen U2 since Popmart, which I thought was a great show. But my hubby and I are going in October, yay! We were just starting to date when we went to Popmart, so it's kind of sentimental. Anyway, Muse is opening, so I'm extra excited!

Lately I like Clarke for a girl. dunno why. I have two daughters - Holly Elise and Emily Rose. (yes, Emily Rose is the devil sometimes.) hehe. for a boy (if we ever have one) we will probably go with Ethan James. :) picking names is hard for kids...those books/sites can be overwhelming! good luck, and congrats!

Yeah, my hubby told me hehe. I'm about to go watch it!!!!! I'm so excited! I was just looking around online the other day, wondering why no one has posted anything new. Seems like everyone gets their hands on stuff before it's released these days...
