I can understand beastwars fear. Their latest records, MX and Ghost Stories, didnt went the direction a lot of fans wanted them. I dont expect something like "Back to the roots" honestly. Further more, its going to be very poppy again imho. BUT that isnt actually bad since pop music can be very good too. Some popular Oasis songs were pop songs too and nearly everybody loved them. At least, i hope for more decent lyrics. I know Chris can do a lot better.

If AHFOD is closing an cycle, as Chris said, i hope for some Parachutes,AROBTTH ,X&Y and Viva-era sounding songs too. Not only references to their last two records.

Anyway. All i wanna say is that im hoping for something to really surprise me. Thats why :viva: is my favourite record because the direction,content and style of this album was totally unexpected. I´m not gonna say i want a :viva: 2.0 but i want the same surprise with the style of A Head Full of Dreams. That would be fantastic, since many people (including me) expecting a more EDM/poppy sort of record.

Sorry but did you read my post properly ?! Nowhere is written that Midnight is rock to me. Its just different from their solid pop music since Mylo. Dont get me wrong, im totally fine with the fact you like Miracles ;)

Last really song to be called rock was Violet Hill. From then, most of it was solid pop. With a few exceptions, like Midnight, which i love.

Again "ummmm". Where is Miracles some sort of rock ?! Violet Hill is rock, or Chinese Sleep Chant but not Miracles.

Ummm,return to the start ?! So compared to Yellow or Everythings not lost or The Scientist ?...no,sorry. There are lightyears between them.

In my deepest inside i hope for sth like Violet Hill, as the style for LP 7. And at least one song with a really decent meaning to it, like Politik. A fools hope, i know ;)

Miracles 2.0 ?! Please god,no ! One of their worst songs lately imho. Even if im alone with this opinion.

The Mexican is a really good track. Live and on the record, especially the chorus is decent. You know we cant go back is uplifting,yes. But a bit to simple and repetetive. Riverman, X-Ray Eyes, Lock all the Doors, The Dying of the Light, While the Songs remains the Same and Bonus Track Do the Damage are the standout tracks on Chasing Yesterday.

Anything else than a pop album would be a surprise at this stage to me. I´m not expecting much from this record, so i can only be surprised. I´d hope for a Viva 2.0, which wont happen.

I hope "Miracles" is not an indicator what to expect from AHFOD. To me, its a really weak song. I did hope they continue the Midnight direction a bit..
