This video is incredible! If this is the direction they are going I am ready to go with them on this. They might actually be "Moving to Mars" on this song. ;) The space and Ancient Greek Mythology themes combined make this a very interesting video and I hope they use that idea on their next LP. Sure they've had spacey sound, but they haven't had a spacey themed album yet. Looking forward to LP6!

Every time I listen to it a few parts standout. The piano is beautiful, haunting, and although simple arpeggiation, it still sounds nice and Coldplay-like. I love Chris going to his lower register, then building up to his falsetto. The guitar refrain that comes during "I'm about to explode" is surreal. Also the little sound heard after "Carry your World" is so uplifting. Although the buildup is very slow and predictable, it leads to the most beautiful chorus since Death And All His Friends. Jonny's guitar work is at its finest at the end. Whatever the other instrument used at the end is, that is also what makes the ending one of the best Coldplay has had. I still wish it was longer though.

I couldn't rate the song a 10/10 after listening to it 5 times now. It is right now a great, great song! It has a good chord progression, and sounds like old Coldplay. But it also sounds like it originated during the Viva era and was molded through the years between the Viva and MX era. The piano is certainly Coldplay-esque, and the buildup is also. I feel that in terms of Coldplay, this is one of their better songs, but certainly not in my top 25...yet. Lyrics: 7.5/10 (Could have been better, but I think some didn't really fit when he sang them) Music: 8/10 (Typical Coldplay with some new sounds in there, and definitely great to hear, but not what I was expecting from a soundtrack) Overall about an 8/10. Great in music standards and by Coldplay standards, but I really wanted them to do something different/soundtrack-y and definitely a longer song than 4 minutes.

WOW THAT SOUNDS SO SIMILAR. I wonder if it was leftover from Viva and they added a bit during MX era, and this is what they came up with. Nice!

So what happens is I will go to a random number generator for dice rolls and possibly Live/Studio Cards. That will determine how much you move and what card you get. I'll handle all the money changes in the first post. We'll all learn as the game goes.
