Damn I live 10 minutes away from there!!! It feels so weird that my idols are just a few minutes away from my home. It felt like that when I went to their performance at KROQ Weenie Roast because it's hard to see your heroes being so close to you, especially in Irvine because it's not a very big city. I'd think they'd be in LA, not here!

Damn. I'm two months away from being 18....so I can't go to this show. They're playing so close! Oh well, they'll be back for the official tour.

This is a great song, my only problem is that the lyrics for these songs are pretty simple and cheesy. I know that doesn't necessarily mean they are bad, but I'm just not on board with the whole "cheesy" love theme of the album. At times they will sound great, but not up to par with some of their older lyrics. Surprisingly, MX had some great lyrics. HLH, Charlie Brown, Us Against the World, Major Minus, UFO, and Up With the Birds had some complex lyrics that, although had love themes, weren't as cheesy as this. If the lyrics were as good as AROBTTH or Viva then I could call this one of their better albums, but the music is definitely at a high level right now for them.

We can only hope. I just listened to a new rough cut of a song called "Little Sur" by John Mayer and it was incredibly beautiful. He wrote on his tumblr saying he wanted to just play music for music this year and record for his passion and not just for the record sales. I think that's what Coldplay needs to start doing. I know they are great songwriters, and they have the ability to churn out more than 9 songs in 3 years. Really hoping they release an EP soon after the album.

I'm pretty sure these will just be live versions or remixes of the album songs. If they were extra tracks, they would then sell it on iTunes or Amazon as a deluxe edition. Besides, usually Coldplay make concise albums, and usually they won't add 3 songs because it ruins the "wholeness" of the album, if that makes any sense....Unless they were to release a separate EP like Prospekt's March, I don't believe these three songs will be new.

I hope it's a psychedelic rock track that finishes the album with a 10+ minute studio jam session like "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd. Love that song, and hope this will have the same effect on me.

I have to agree that a 10 seems too high right now, but it's due to the pre-album hysteria. I actually have a full ratings list out of 100 saved to file for all Coldplay songs, which makes it more precise. I'd rate this song, after a week of listening to it, about an 8.8/10. Clocks, Yellow, Fix You, Charlie Brown, Death And All His Friends are all 9.0 and up. But this song is definitely great, no doubt about it. You have to really have open ears, and I guess some people just don't have that. I love music in general, and this song is another great addition to the Coldplay catalogue. Not a hit, but a beautiful song.

They also don't have a title song for this album! Wow so much is different this time around. I'm going to have to get used to it pretty quickly...I'm going to attempt to go to bed right now, but tomorrow after school I'll be all over these forums. I can't take it right now. It's Mighnight (hehe see what I did there ;) ) right now and I can't go to bed. Usually by now I'm so tired I have to go to sleep.

I'm not fast enough to process all of this right now. Not sure how I feel because it came way too quickly. Overload!

These guys rock! I've been listening to them since their debut in 2010, and now their second album is unbelievable! I just listened to the free stream of the album on iTunes, and I can't stop listening. It's hard to believe that they are from my hometown, and went to the same high schools that I go to now. :O I am also an aspiring musician going into college, and these guys inspire me and make me believe that a career in the music industry is truly possible.
