Rank the Ghost Stories songs!
It will change once the album comes out and will continue to change, but here are the rankings as of now. 1a. Midnight 1b. Always In My Head 1c. Oceans 2. Magic 3. Another's Arms I'm going to wait for the studio version of ASFOS to be released.

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
It says no links in the thread please don't post this. It is betraying Chris's wishes and it will make many people listen who would rather wait for the studio version. If people want the link they should PM you, but don't post it here.

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
I think that first line is just the horizon with O as the sun setting with birds flying. I don't think that refers to a hidden/new song, although O's track length could reveal a short song like Life is for Living.

O (part 2)
Hopefully this will be just as long as O is.
-
Oceans
I'm hoping O is actually that long, and then we'll get a part 2 and reprise of O as well! It'll be like Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" which had parts as well.

Ghost Stories Target release
I might just go to Target on May 19th before the concert in LA and buy their record, then listen to it on the way to LA :D :D :D That really does sound good. Hopefully they have the deluxe edition in stores and it's not sold out. And hopefully I get tickets to their concert in LA...it's gonna be tough.

Ghost Stories Target release
For some reason my Target Exclusive Preorder got cancelled due to some payment issues...I don't really know. I'm not able to pre-order it again. Is this problem happening for anybody else?

Another's Arms
Listening to Midnight and Another's Arms consecutively, I can say that Midnight flows right into Another's Arms. The same background that ends Midnight is the intro to Another's Arms, if anybody has noticed. But I'm hoping this album will be a continuous flowing album. They haven't managed to do that, although the past two albums they have had a number of connected songs, never a full album. This album is looking to be a very personal, intimate, dark, and beautiful album.

How much of Ghost Stories is about Gwyneth?
I really believe that the three secret shows in LA that admitted only major Coldplay fans were to help Chris realize that he is loved and to help him get back to what he loved, music. Chris is certainly good at making shows intimate and it is heartbreaking that Gwyneth and he couldn't work things out, but they seem to be moving forward with their marriage in a loving, positive way. I think intimate shows will please the fans and the band after the bombastic production that was the MX tour.

Chris and Gwyneth announced their separation
It's unbelievable how much this affected me, but Chris is my idol. He and Gwyneth have been humble, down-to-earth, and unbelievable examples of how celebrities deal with fame. It's hard to believe they will be separating. You all are right about how the lyrics are that much more meaningful now. Midnight's lyrics "Millions of miles from home. In the swirling, swimming on." might have something to do with them trying to work something out and him being miles from London, his true home. And of course, Magic's lyrics. I have a feeling that this album is very highly based upon this break up. :( Unfortunate, but I hope they will continue to stay on good terms, not divorce, and maybe after a while without the pressures of marriage, realize their love for each other and get back together.

[22-Mar-2014] Coldplay @ Sony Pictures Studios, Los Angeles, USA
I'm really hoping the tour will follow this type of intimacy, with the band joking around and talking with the audience while playing music. MX tour was brilliant but it made me feel distant from the band. I missed this intimacy that came with the Viva shows, and now it's back so I'm going to this tour and I hope it will be similar to how these shows have been described.

Always In My Head
Honestly I can't wait for the studio version of this song. It's so beautiful, and it has been on repeat for a while now. Although it ends abruptly it leaves you wanting more, and I just can't get over that feeling. They need to release a longer version of this song (reprise) like they are doing with O.

Still jealous of those who got to go, and angry with myself for not entering the ticket giveaway or even trying....

[21-Mar-2014] Coldplay @ Sony Pictures Studios, Los Angeles, USA
UGH KILLING MYSELF THAT I DIDN'T ENTER FOR ANY OF THE TICKETS....They are literally in my backyard and I don't try to get tickets for my favorite band...So jealous. :veryangry2:

Any info on the new songs???? The lyrics for A Sky Full Of Stars are also pretty cheesy but once I hear the song I think I can get over it. So far Ghost Stories sounds great. So jealous of all those other LA'ers that got to go and will be going to the concerts this weekend. Should have entered....

Another's Arms
I'm really loving "Always In My Head" as an opener now. Although the lyrics are quite simple, in that song I can get over it because the music sounds like it came straight from AROBTTH. But Another's Arms, like Paradise, has stunned me in its blatant simplicity in lyrics, which do not sound good at all. The music is great as always, but in "Another's Arms" it's going to take a long time for me to get over the lyrics and focus on the music like I did with Paradise.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Yes my name is Aashray. It was cool to be on Oracle for the first time but also to know that Chris was shooting a video just 10 minutes away from where I lived.
