  1. ^ That's what I'm worried about also. Although I'm 95% sure the guys wouldn't do that to us, it's always a possibility. I mean, we've been waiting three years for this album, so why give us 7 new songs for festivals/EPs and then shove them all into a 10-11 track album? There'd be a lot of disappointed fans . . . From what I've heard, they have well over 50 songs to choose from (I imagine they've narrowed that down substantially by now) so why give us only 10 when all is said and done? I would think that they would 1. Play some of the new material songs at festivals (done) 2. Give us the studio versions of a couple of other new songs (done) 3. Release the first single with 1-2 b-sides 4. Give us the best of the best on LP5 That way, instead of only getting 3-4 completely new songs by the time the album drops, we get 8-9 plus all of the other festival/EP/b-side quality songs that didn't quite make it, thereby giving us 20+ songs for the era
  2. :dazzled: Glass Of Water is awesome live! Actually . . . most of the Viva era songs are awesome live  But meh, I'm not really a fan of Lost! either.
  3. ^^ They aren't getting ready to play at a gig since their next performance is at the iTunes Festival on the 22nd I'm betting it's album-related ;)
  4. or 'Don't Let It Be Your Heart'
  5. A promo single . . . hmm Are promo singles usually on albums?
  6. Very cool! It looks like you've gotten everything proportioned and scaled correctly . . . the Viva one doesn't look all that different from the actual painting (there are a few minor differences that I can spot, but nothing huge) Well done! :)
  7. That would make sense, I suppose :P
  8. ^ Christmas Lights was a standalone :P Plus, due to everything we've heard so far, I would guess that LP5 isn't due until September / October. Singles are usually released about a month or two beforehand, whereas ETiaW will already have been out for almost 4 months.
  9. asdf/;ljgasoihwf WHY do I continue to get those two confused?! :bigcry:
  10. I want to hear Blasphemy :P Zero Theory was a cool name :wacky:
  11. ^ Glasto 2005 was pretty great :P but that was 6 years ago, and Parachutes was only 5 years old instead of 11 years old. Plus, I'm pretty sure they still played ENL in the setlists frequently  Nowadays, there just aren't that many people that know about it outside the Coldplay fansites. It is a fantastic singalong, and I have nothing against them playing it if the crowd is willing, but with the crowd response from the last few times it's been played, I think they could replace it with another song that more people know. Not bashing the song, or anything, I just think that, for now, there are better song choices out there :P
  12. ^ True, but if he set his alarm for 5 to work on LP5 then that means he's done this before :surprised: Even if he is a hypomaniac or has insomnia, the fact that he turned that into an opportunity to work is pretty great :P
  13. Yeah, if I managed to somehow win tickets to Lolla I would convince my parents to let me go somehow :P Marching band FTW! What instrument do you play?
  14. Between Coldplay's kids and David Beckham's kids, I'm led to believe that the British have a rather odd taste in names! :laugh4:
  15. Wow, Chris! So much respect! I can't do anything even remotely coherent at 5am! See, this is why I love Coldplay! How many other artists would get up at 5am to go work on an album?
  16. ^ Glass Of Water was awesome live! :wacky: Shiver's all right, especially considering that there are so many Coldplayers that have wanted to hear it live for a very long time. But I agree with you on ENL, it just doesn't fit very well with the setlist and not very many festival-goers know about it
  17. Awesome Community gif is awesome! :awesome:
  18. ^ Moses? Sort of--you can buy it off the Live 2003 CD/DVD, but there's no studio version
  19. ^ Wasn't that what inspired Cemeteries of London? Or am I getting confused again?
  20. ^ If I had a couple hundred dollars to blow then I'd just buy tickets and fly out to London But no. I'm still a broke teenager. :P
  21. ^ Or because they're trying to show that . . . . oh ugh. Nevermind. I was going to type it all out, but waaaaaay too complicated and crazy of a theory. :freak: And my brain hurts now :P
