  1. ^ I've been thinking the same. Based off what we heard from Moving to Mars, I think Coldplay will incorporate a little bit of every era into this album. The acoustic-y charm of Parachutes ---> Us Against The World The brilliant lyrics of ARoBttH ---> Moving to Mars and possibly Major Minus The synth-y backgrounds and riffs of X&Y ---> MX/Hurts Like Heaven The unique instrumental sounds and lyrical themes of Viva ---> Princess of China
  2. Agreed. I wonder how it'll go over when they open the Olympics next year? :wink3: (assuming they're chosen for the honor, which I'm 99.999% sure they will be) That is going to be one freakin' huge stadium gig.
  3. Mmm . . . eh, I'd say 50% or less  CB, HLH and possibly PoC will make the cut, while UAtW will be a b-side. Major Minus, Moving to Mars and ETiaW won't make an appearance at all. But, it's all just speculation at this point, isn't it? ;)
  4. Debating about crazy album theories is so much fun xD
  5. The penguin one is great!
  6. ^ Well that would be nice, even though I CAN'T FREAKIN' WATCH IT! *takes deep breath* Maybe some wonderful person will stream/record it?
  7. ^ Yeah . . . . the only Apple product I have is an iPod shuffle
  8. ^ Wait wut? *is confused* I always get Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens mixed up. And no, I have no idea why :inquisitive:
  9. ^ I wouldn't believe any website claiming they know about LP5 unless it's coldplay.com itself that comes out with the announcement. I remember there were a lot of websites back in 2010 that claimed LP5 was definitely going to be out by Christmas. And it obviously wasn't :laugh4:
  10. ^ The only thing that might work is finding a UK proxy for your computer, or finding a separate live stream online somewhere
  11. Well maybe, that is. . . It's never actually been confirmed as the first single
  12. THAT'S why whenever I think of Great Expectations I think of Sherlock Holmes! :P That's been bugging me forever . . .
  13. Uh-oh. I can't watch it on my laptop either. When I click on a performance a warning pops up that says 'this computer does not support iTunes live streaming' :uhoh: Anyone know how to fix this issue? EDIT:  I just opened the player via the iTunes website and it says that the streaming is only available for residents in the UK :bigcry:
  14. Good luck getting tickets, guys! We need to get as many Coldplayers into that gig as possible
  15. I don't hear any similarities either
  16. ^ Oh yeah . . . forgot about that one :P Love In A Lethal Dose 1000-1 Arabesque
  17. ^ Harbingers of Doom sounds kinda cool, but my favorite title so far is Love In A Lethal Dose :wacky:
  18. ^Yeah, although I can't see why they would name a song after him. They already have Sweet Marianne, which is a tribute to Will's wife. I'm betting it's an acronym for something
  19. Great Expectations - Yep. Sounds cool Hook Up - eh . . . yeah, I have to agree with you It Was A Wonderful Day - I thought the exact same thing! Gardeners On The Frontline - Uh . . . I have no idea. :whaaat:
  20. :surprised: Possible gigs meaning that LP5 is getting very, very close . . .
  21. ^ Maybe. I think that the melodies are planned out by all the guys, though. Or maybe they each think of a small part of a melody and piece it together? For example, I think it was Guy that wrote the violin parts at the end of X&Y . . .
  22. ^ I would think that Jonny has written 99% (if not all) of them. Although I suppose that most of them are dictated by the lyrical structure--which are probably created by Chris. So in other words: Lyrics --> determine Beat --> determines instrumental structure (i.e. Jonny's riffs, Will's drumbeat, etc.) So Jonny writes them, but I'm sure Chris, Guy, and Will have some part in it.
  23. Because debating is so much fun! :awesome: I'd say UAtW has a 50/50 chance. If it doesn't make it, I'm thinking it will be a b-side
