  1. Just a thought . . . do you think Jonny will continue to use his Viva-painted guitar or will he switch to one that would match this era?
  2. ^ When I woke up this morning, iTunes didn't have it yet, even though it was around 6:15 am (12:15 pm in England). I eventually had to dig for it on the page with all of Coldplay's albums because it wasn't showing up on the search. You might try that, if you haven't already.
  3. Ah, okay, thanks. I do hope we have some slower songs on this album since we really haven't had any since ARoBttH (except for Fix You, Gravity, Christmas Lights and possibly The Escapist) :(
  4. ^ I don't know where you can watch it when they broadcast it, but there will probably be some videos uploaded to YouTube
  5. And that's why they've become one of the biggest bands in the world! I think I'll love Coldplay whatever direction they choose to go in for future albums, just because they always manage to surprise me. How many people thought that Viva La Vida would get as huge as it did? No one. :P On a second note, will there be a music video for this? I'm anxious to see one! :freak:
  6. I'm wondering what instrument they use in the intro . . . . is it just a synthesizer or a special type of keyboard or something? Anyone know? /knows nothing about instruments *cough*eventhoughsheprobablyshouldbecauseshe'sinband :uhoh:
  7. That's fine, we all have our own opinion (no hating guys, c'mon now :shifty:) although I have to say that I rather like this style of song. I don't want every song on LP5 to sound like this, but it's good to know that Coldplay are willing to step out of their comfort zone a bit and make something with so many techno elements in it. Jonny's guitar, for example, I've NEVER heard it being played like that! :stunned: Just don't be discouraged into thinking that Coldplay have gotten lost in all the other pop/rock/techno artists. They're still Coldplay, and they haven't steered us wrong in these 11 (or more) odd years. I would trust them, and just enjoy the ride! (it's gonna be awesome!):sneaky:
  8. To be fair, the guys worked on Viva for three years and both The Escapist and Life In Technicolor took some elements from John Hopkin's Light Through The Veins and those songs were still brilliant. :) The guitar intro for Talk, I believe, was sampled from Kraftwork's Computer Love. So, to me, this song is just Coldplay paying homage to another song/artist they admire or draw inspiration to. Now, if EVERY song on LP5 took the intros/melodies/what have you from other songs then yes, I would be disappointed. But, since ETiaW is just one song (a pretty cool one ) then no, I'm not disappointed. Actually, I'm even more excited now because I have no idea if Coldplay will follow this techno-y sound, or if the album will follow something else entirely!
  9. And the "Raise" part <3 I think Will and Jonny could go crazy on a live version of this song! :sneaky: This one'll be almost as fun to sing along to as Viva is :awesome:
  10. The guys are getting smart, they want to make sure they don't get sued for similarities like they did with Viva ;) The first time I listened to it I was so surprised that I didn't know if I liked it--but it's growing on me now!
  11. Interesting . . . not what I expected but I still love it :P it DOES remind me of Viva though, both the song and the album (good things, imo) Oh, and two words: Jonny's guitar X_X
  12. ^ I doubt it :D Only 10 hours and 20 minutes left :wacky: G'night guys! The next time you see me we'll have the single, be hyped up on Coldplay (and heavily-sugared tea), and there will be a new Coldplay era on our hands! Goodbye Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, (we'll all miss you!), and hello LP5!
  13. ^ Really? Honestly, that would have been kinda cool. I believe someone on this forum mentioned a few weeks ago that he thought LP5 would be something like Viva's brother. . . . It looks as if it's sorta turning out that way.
  14. ^ I know ^^ a year ago, if I had to guess what the LP5 theme would be, I wouldn't have guessed UFO/Alien/Space with graffiti artwork (especially X&Y had a sort of a space theme, and Viva's artwork was a little bit graffiti-ish) But, that's what makes Coldplay brilliant
  15. aRushOfClocks42 ~ Nah, your English is fine :P I discovered Coldplay about a year ago--when I heard Clocks on the radio :wacky: annnnnnnd . . . . . . . almost exactly 12 hours  my hyper-ness is slowly building!
  16. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should just stay up all night >.> How was it when Violet Hill dropped?
  17. 3 years ago . . . . I had just started 6th grade (middle school for us) and now I'm a freshman in high school! :freak: Wow. And the Viva era is ending tomorrow
  18. ^ Hold on a sec :P I don't think that's what she meant. I think Imke was just saying that getting all freaked out and excited won't get anyone the song any faster. EDIT: Whoa, like quadruple ninja'd! :freak:
  19. I think I may explode from excitement . . . . . . 13 hours 45 minutes left  EDIT: I'm already out of school, so I get it when I get up and around (it's some pretty good motivation)! :P
