If AOAL stands for "Adventure Of A Lifetime" I gotta admit it really fits with the artwork. How else would you describe hanging on planets, sitting on moons, rocketships, hot air balloons, toucans, telescopes, and diving/flying?

Loving the snippet! It's so energizing (and does sound a bit psychedelic like the artwork implied). I'm guessing that tomorrow we'll get an announcement for the single, be given the title and artwork and time of a live radio release (probably on bbc 1 on Friday). I don't think they would reveal the song tomorrow, it doesn't leave anything for Friday that's why (and everyone would probably just rip it from YouTube rather than purchase it).

Wish I Was Here. Good song but I don't think it should win a "ghost stories" elimination (same goes for the other two movie soundtracks!). Also, Chris barely features in the song.

That's a good guess. Would explain why some think the colors on the border clash. We just haven't gotten the full image yet?

I noticed that too! I thought my screen was just dirty for a second haha. Maybe the actual artwork has a background image, not just solid black? Perhaps part of the teasing is to slowly reveal what the background image is? It's just a thought I had... I'm so glad we have confirmation from Coldplay that the posters and dates are theirs!

Gotta save Christmas Lights! I vote Charlie Brown. CL just sounds so much more timeless to me (greater longevity) when compared with CB. I love both songs though :confused: Either way, MX/HLH probably wins this haha

If I remember correctly M.M.I.X. stands for Matt Mcginn Is Awesome (I'm not sure how X translates to awesome though). I do think he contributed a lot to make all those electronic noises in the track though. Also I like your theory 42escapist about mtm and ufo.

While the way I interpret it is that the song is about being inside a U.F.O. The lyrics at the end of the song gives me that image: Bullets fly split the sky But that’s alright sometimes sunlight comes streaming through the holes I figured the "holes" referred to are the windows on the U.F.O. Also the verse that says "and that light hits your eyes" could be referring to a U.F.O. but that lines a lot more ambiguous imo. Maybe the U.F.O. is coming to abduct the person as they "row upstream" and then they end up inside it at the end of the song? Idk haha. Give it another listen and pay attention to the lyrics ;) I vote for up in flames to save UFO. I love UFO, one of my favs from mx. I think UFO is the one song that was left (mostly) untouched from the original acoustic version of lp5.

What a cool idea, I never thought of the album title like that. I wonder what the ending track would sound like on an album like that, where the dreamer wakes up back to reality? If ahfod does follow a solid conceptual framework like mx, please be this!

Sorry to jump in on your conversation but that's a good point you bring up. Coldplay definitely aren't following any same pattern as their last two releases though it seems. Personally I like being surprised with a new song rather than being told the release date and having to wait it out. It makes a really great surprise (e.g. waking up and seeing the midnight music video with no prior expectations). It's too bad you missed the hype and build-up to MX. Coldplay had a lot of fun releasing little teaser videos with the lyrics to the first single ETiAW.
