It has a bit of the chord progression in Spanish Rain, I know what you mean. It sounds to me as well, but it's not that obvious. It's mostly because of the overall optimistic tone of both of them :D

...or the faded glockenspiel (Xylo-toes?) in the first part of UWTB? I definitely agree with you. I've noticed that there are a lot of subtleties and fine tweaks in it that really make it a good listen.

After many listenings, I figured out that it's "so cold, so cruel", not "so cold, so cold". Listen carefully and check it out :P

I give it 10/10 without any doubt. It's massive, and I think it's going to be the MX song that will last the longest in my memory :)

I am absolutely stunned by: HLH - the guitar outro and Chris's vocals UFO - the little 15 second outro to POC, i really didn't expect it, it went right on the spot :D A hopeful transmission + DLIBYH - IMO the most massive Coldplay song ever (lock me in the tower if I'm wrong!) And, the last but not the least, in UWTB the moment when Chris sings "to a wonderful world" and the strings build up. It made me shed a tear. Basically the whole album could fit very well into the soundtrack of a movie, it has a nice cohesive feel to it.

another thing, when he says "My arms turn wings" or something like that, did you notice a soft female voice in the background? :) it's so nice

This one actually sounds even closer to Coldplay stuff than everything I've heard so far :D Except his fking voice, i think he's done a pretty good job and we should give him credit, maybe, for trying ;) Who knows, it could be the actual song after all! P.S. what if "pirurirururiru" is some sort of guitar solo?
